Sympathy and charity are the natural reactions to a tragedy. Using the deaths of innocent people as an immediate platform for political gain is inhuman.
So, naturally, that’s the route Hollywood elitists chose to take just hours after the school shooting in Santa Fe that left 10 dead and several injured. Actors and actresses attacked everything they could get their hands on with blind, misdirected rage and virtuous grandstanding. It was like a wake of ghoulish vultures, screeching “YOUR PRAYERS DON’T WORK.”
As politicians and others offered their thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families, eager entertainers pounced on the sympathy and tore it to shreds. Producer Andy Lassner tweeted, “‘Thoughts and prayers’ is politician speak for ‘I need gun lobby money.’” Actress Mia Farrow stated, “Prayer does not replace action. WE NEED RATIONAL GUN LAWS.”
The attacks on faith continued. Actor Billy Eichner retweeted Vice President Pence’s statement about the shooting, and responded, “Forget your thoughts and prayers. You've been praying since Columbine. YOUR PRAYERS DON'T WORK. Can the rest of us rational thinking people actually try to do something about this now???”

Australia has everything the Left wants in gun control and they just had a shooting resulting in 7 deaths. This received very little airtime amongst the Left wing media.
Wonder why?
So they don’t smoke in movies, recognizing that movies influence behavior. But gun play and violence don’t?

Why are their no school massacres at urban schools in high crime areas? Could it be because all students have to pass through the same entrance equipped with a metal detector and “luggage” scanners staffed by armed guards?
Convert the schools from namby-pamby “gun free zones” into hardened targets like airports and watch what happens. Of course it is not about safety, its about gun confiscation.
Well, some movies (the ted kennedy tragedy being one) have a warning that the movie contains scenes of “historical smoking” so cover your kiddies eyes when that occurs. Or something.

Hollywierd, go back to your drug abuse, sexual abuse, child abuse, etc. and leave America alone.
They’d have a bit more believability (well, they can hope) if guns were not a vital part of the majority of movies out there. And cursing. And acting like an Obamahole, and being greedy, stupid, and demonstrating that their “eddikashun” was money thrown into the sewer.
Meanwhile Fox is pushing another Deadpool gun orgy and polysexual dick joke film allegedly for adults but pimped to minors.

Yes, it’s a new Alinsky flag liberals are flying: Hating on “thoughts and prayers” with profane intensity. It will be interesting to see how many leftists salute it.
What would also work would be to turn public schools back into centres of actual learning, as opposed to union shops of indoctrination with very serious discipline problems milling about. While things like even the strap or cane may have been cruel in those few instances, they basically kept many boys (including myself) honest.
