Following Friday’s fatal school shooting in Texas numerous Democrat legislators called for Congress to take action.
Rep. Donald McEachin (VA), a self described “Progressive Democrat,” strongly condemned Republicans, tweeting that “Children’s blood is on their hands”:
“When will this Republican controlled government allow us to act to protect our kids? Children's blood is on their hands.”
Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy published a tweet that said: “Let’s call it like it is: the horrifying inaction of Congress, slaughter after slaughter, has become a green light to would-be shooters, who pervert silence into endorsement.”
Some legislators mentioned the National Rifle Association (NRA). Texas Congressman Lloyd Doggett released a statement in which he referred to Congress as “NRA-controlled”:

Democrats should be more worried about the treason that is being exposed and they’re up to their necks in it.

First reports of the shooting had the kid using an AR-15. Also, he possessed both guns illegally because of his age. Expect alot of vague accusations against the NRA. Gun laws failed again.

Hmmm- the DO NOTHING congress is complaining that noone is doing anything? How about vote to arm teachers- Hire retired police as armed guards- get metal detectors into schools- cut down on the number of entrances and exits, provide safe rooms for kids to retreat to if possible-

The gated dreamworld that these people live in. They will disarm law abiding civilians but have their armed security and live in expensive, exclusive areas. They will send their kids to those sorts of schools but the rest will continue to be in the union shops that basically permit violent and angry discipline problems to carry on with their abhorrent behaviour until it is too late in those tragic instances.
