Ninety-three-year-old Ben Bender made a hole-in-one during his likely last round of golf.
The event, played at Ohios Green Valley Golf Course, brought Bender's fath in God and his love of golf together, according to the Zanesville Times Recorder.
Bender, a Zanesville, Ohio native, is in declining health including hip bursitis making playing the game difficult.
"I'd come close to some hole-in-ones, but this one was level on the green before it curved towards the hole and went in," Bender told the newspaper. "I was in awe watching it. I played a few more holes, but my hips were hurting and I had to stop. It seemed the Lord knew this was my last round so he gave me a hole-in-one."
Although Bender once played with a three handicap when he lived in Florida, his game has declined along with his health. The other holes he played were pretty mediocre, according to Green Valley manager Steve Galloway.
"(Ben) shot 8 on 1 and 7 on 2 so you guessed it, a hole-in-one on 3," Galloway told the Times Recorder. "What an amazing feat by Ben (in his final round)."

Played that course many years ago. A little par 3 course. I worked at that newspaper too. They laid me off on New Year’s Eve 1982. Ended up joining the Army.
Great name too!
I got my hole in one a week before a total knee replacement. I thought for sure it was a sign that God was telling me I would never golf again. But 6 years and another knee replacement later I am still golfing.....
While it may have been his last game, I hope that he lives for many more years to tell his story!
Like the joke where the Pastor calls in sick on Sunday so he can play golf at an empty course. He gets a hole-in-one for each hole. And after every one - Jesus is getting madder and madder at God for allowing it to happen.
“Don’t worry Son. Who is he going to be able to tell!?”
The only hole-in-one I got didn’t count...
I was playing in a best ball tourney...My tee shot went into a pond in front of the green...
After everyone else hit, I said I’m gonna hit another that won’t count...It went in the hole....
Is that really his name? Well, out of respect for my elders, I won’t make any name jokes unless he makes them first.
Here’s another...
Jesus and Moses were playing together...They came upon a par three across a pond...Jesus gets on the tee...Takes out his 8 iron...Moses says “I think this is a 7 iron shot...”
Jesus says “I saw Arnold Palmer hit it pin high here with an 8...” He promptly hits it in the water....
Moses parts the waters and retrieves his ball...Jesus still uses his 8 and hits it in the water again...
This time he walks across the water to get his own ball...
The group behind them comes up to the tee and a guy sees Jesus walking on the water and says “Does he think he’s Jesus???”
Moses says “Nah...He KNOWS he’s Jesus...He thinks he’s Arnold Palmer...”
LOL. Another favorite! I don’t golf, but there sure are some good jokes!
Very nice. I’d personally consider it a hole in one to myself. I’ve chipped a few into the hole. Just not from the tee.
A cousin perhaps? ;d
I was playing in a foursome and we were putting on a green that was sort of hidden at the bottom of a hill. All of a sudden a ball landed on stopped about an inch from the cup.
We all looked at each other and said “let’s give to him” and we tapped it in. Then a teenage kid came over the hill csrrying his clubs and asked us if we saw his ball and we told him it went into the hole.
He was so excited, he yelled “Yippie! A 6”
