Dimitrios Pagourtzis: What we know about the Santa Fe shooting suspect (Self Described Atheist)
ABC13 Houston ^ | 5-18-2018 | KTRK

Posted on 05/18/2018 1:36:45 PM PDT by Colonel Kangaroo

SANTA FE, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities tell Eyewitness News that 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis was the gunman in the deadly shooting that unfolded Friday morning inside Santa Fe High School, killing 10 people and injuring 10 more.

Pagourtzis was arrested, and authorities say he is a student at the high school.

SOCIAL MEDIA His Facebook page also listed a possible interest in the United States Marines Corps, "starting in 2019." ABC News reached out to the Pentagon, and they said they do not have record of anyone with the last name Pagourtzis in Marine Corps.

Pagourtzis describes himself as an atheist for religious views, and "I hate politics" for political views. He also posted photos of himself, his gaming station setup, and t-shirts. He posted a photo on April 30, 2018 of a t-shirt that says "Born to Kill."

On the same day, he also posted a photo of a jacket with pins of various symbols (Communist party, Iron Cross, Rising Sun, baphomet, and Cthulhu).

FOOTBALL The Santa Fe Indians Freshman Football website lists a "Dimitrios Pagourtzis" with jersey #73, position DL with graduation year of 2019.

CHURCH The Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Galveston has posted photos of their "Galveston Nisiotes" - a Greek Dance Troupe performing at the Galveston Heritage Festival on its website. In one of the photos, a "Dimitri Pagourtzis" is listed in the photo caption. The suspect's mother's Facebook page also includes a similar photo of the same Greek dance troup.

WEAPONS USED Authorities say Pagourtzis was armed with a shotgun and a .38 revolver that belonged to his father. They believe those weapons were legally owned by his father.

Journals, a computer and cell phone recovered during the investigation suggested that not only did Pagourtzis intend to carry out the shooting, but he planned to commit suicide afterward, authorities say. He did not attempt to kill himself, but instead, surrendered to police.

CHARGES Pagourtzis has been booked into the Galveston County Jail on a charge of capital murder. He is being held without bond.

Due to his age, if convicted, Pagourtzis would not be eligible for the death penalty. During their investigation, authorities obtained warrants to search two homes. They found various explosive devices in a home and vehicle, as well as on the school's campus.

They are urging the community to be on the lookout for suspicious items and to report anything unusual to 911.

I'm sure the atheism angle will be ignored, but the era of more frequent mass shootings has come in an era of decreasing belief in God among the young.

Galatians 5:19-25 speaks of a lifestyle incompatable with mass murder:

"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

In Clinton era school shootings, the religious kids appeared to be the targets. The rage may have been fanned by the sense of inadequacy by those without a sense of moral purpose.

Also consider Suicidal Rage vs. "Something Of Value".

Five'll get you ten, if asked what the golden rule is, this guy would state, "The people with the gold make the rules."

It's almost a lock he hasn't heard, You treat others like you'd like to be treated.

He resembles John Hinkley, the Reagan shooter.

Is it measured as increasing? I wouldn’t be surprised if true. Makes one wonder why so few murders in comparison in the old West or early 20th century. And it was pretty normal for people to own guns then as well.

Let us not forget an important aspect of the Columbine Massacre that has been shoved down the memory hole:

During the Columbine massacre, in which 15 people were murdered and 21 injured, a total of four firearms were involved. The murderers also employed four knives and 99 explosive devices.

Of the firearms, only one qualified under the 1994 federal law as a banned “assault rifle”. One firearm was a doubled barreled shotgun with a shortened barrel. It has long been a federal felony to saw down the barrel of a shotgun and it was also a felony to possess such an altered weapon.

Every single explosive device was a federal and state felony to assemble, possess and use, and to use in the commission of a crime.

If the memory of Columbine is ever brought up today, the failure of the law to stop the use of explosives in a school massacre is never mentioned. It is never mentioned because that gets in the way of a Gollum-like fixation on the Precious, starting with the banning of certain firearms and certain accessories but to eventually to banning all firearms.

So far, the Precious Thing that progressives think will allow Utopia to arrive has slipped from their grasp. Being able to keep and bear arms gives free people the power to defend themselves from dangerous people or dangerous government. The Truth also gives power to defend as well. It is only a matter of time before progressives want to ban it as well.

“I’m sure the atheism angle will be ignored, but the era of more frequent mass shootings has come in an era of decreasing belief in God among the young.”

I’m sure MSNBC will create a good embellishment. Make up some ties to Westboro. It’s the Minitru way.

Notice that the above story did not mention any explosive devices. A headline on Drudgereport at this time says, “Pressure Cookers, Pipe Bombs”.

“Bomb Control” is not a winning issue for woke Progressives busy improving society.

Wish these murderous cretins would put a test round into their own heads first before embarking on the slaughtering. Little evil Dmitri’s destiny with el diablo below has been put on hold for now.

Wonder which antidepressants he was taking.

He may have been alluding to the fact he’s living under a Trump administration or some such. If there was supportive dialogue that mention medication, it may have been more clear cut than I know.

I’d love to see some stat on these kids who are shooting people, and how many of them are on Psych Meds.

That may be a real scandal waiting to surface.

Psychologists seem to think they can control everything through superior analysis of the human condition. I think they miss by miles, but hey that’s just my opinion.

They believe those weapons were legally owned by his father.

Clearly these minors going on shootings can be stopped by making the age to buy guns 21. /liberal logic

I have always thought that the Westboro Baptist Church was a performance art group that said the things that the Left thought that religious Americans would say but never actually say.

From another FR thread, I posted:

“Today Cthulhu has become an atheist/agnostic way of giving the middle finger to religious belief and moral absolutes.”

I think I nailed it.

But wait.

Dimitrios’s apologists have been busy on this forum insisting the pins on the jacket were photoshopped.
