Yes BeauBo it is an effort in Concert and IMHO they regime will collapse from within. I have been saying since last March PDJT is going for a peace deal between Israel and the PA and he is moving strategically towards that goal. That includes IMHO:
* The 3 attacks last year, Syria, the MOAB and in Yemen.
* The breaking away from Iran their Newkee buddy Kim in NK, they are alone now.
* The attacks recently that seem to going after Iranian personnel and weapons caches in Syria and they most recent one has some wicked big "booms" associated with it.
They are peeling the bad actors ( Hamas etc ) away one by one, layer by layer, and if they can stop them and their cash flow from Iran to the PA, they can't be the despots they are without a funding source, like the IRA after 9/11 and their funds drying up as they were donated to NY Fire Fighter causes instead, the PA will be left their scratching their **lls, with no money, they are going to have to come to the peace table, and FWIW, I get the impression the rest of the Arab world are sick of them and their bad actors as they are a PR nightmare, they want to get on with life, plain and simple, and the Saudi's are kinda screaming that with the new Price who is frankly young and hip and has no time for radicals and their radicalization.

If Trump is able to return Iran back to its “pre-Carter” days my mind will explode. When he was campaning for POTUS I would now and then joke around on Freep and say “His deal making skills are so good that he will denuclearize North Korea and unite it with the south” And then...WHAT? Prior to the Islamic take over of Iran the Islamic world was coming to terms with modern society.
If you looked at the class pictures and pictures of the campuses of American University Cairo, American University Beirut, University of Iran & even Kabul. You saw a mixed group of males & females. The young women where often gorgeous and very stylishly but modestly dressed in Western (European) fashion. The success of fundamentalism (Iran Revolution) changed all that. You can follow the change through the class pictures of American University Cairo - beautiful young women to black bags with legs.
My wife and I got to meet some wonderful Persians before and after the crazies took over.
One of our youngest relatives post Iran take over was a junior at a great engineering school.
He was complaining about the Iranian Thug students, who had replaced the great Persians.
That reality and talking to Persian immigrants, who fled Iran to get away and to survive post the Islamo Crazies.
Gave us a lot of early warnings about the real dangers of the new rulers of Iran.
It is past time to remove the crazies in control of Iran.
My daughter went to high school here in NoVA with the (maybe great) grand niece of the Shah. I remember being shocked that she was in a public high school but Fairfax County high schools are supposedly the best in the nation. (Just ask them, they’ll tell you that!) I think they were in same graduating class. Anyway my daughter said she was very nice, friendly, etc. she wasn’t in my daughter’s social circle but they knew each other by sight and were cordial. Yes she was a very attractive young woman.

They have had regime change since then. The main players of the old regime who were involved (like Bandar and Alwaleed) have been stripped of power and wealth. The new Crown Prince (MBS) has cracked down on the Wahabbis like never before, and is transforming Saudi Arabia for the better.
This pipeline has about as much chance of success as I do flying to the moon. First, Qatar has run into a Gulf Coopertion Council buzzsaw. Second, no one trusts Turkey and Syria is a failed state. Third, and most importantly, USA LNG terminals are coming on line later this year and next and will completely change the market for natural gas in Europe (and the world). Russia knows it, and is worried. Eastern Europe knows it and is glad and signing contracts with US suppliers. Western Europe knows it and Netherlands hubs are already buying USA gas on the open market. IOW, history marches on.l
