How the rich fuel climate change
BBC ^ | May 17, 2018

Posted on 05/17/2018 8:44:09 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

From private jets to overspending, the planet’s wealthiest may be contributing the most to its changing climate, an Oxford professor argues.

Income inequality is one of the most significant challenges we face in the 21st Century. But one professor argues that it will have an adverse effect in a surprising way we may not yet have considered: the world’s wealthiest could be some of the biggest contributors to climate change.

Danny Dorling, a geography professor at the University of Oxford, believes economic disparity - the gap between rich and poor - is extremely damaging for the environment.

Listen to his opinion from BBC Ideas: are the ‘One Percenters’ really to blame, and if so, what can we do about it?

The more you have and do, the more CO2 you reproduce.

Fortunately, CO2 is a good thing.

Even at that, CO2 is still only 345 ten-thousands of a percent of the atmosphere we breathe.

These wealthy liberal types buy carbon credits. The rule is, if you buy your carbon credits, you can spew what ever you want to.

Al Gore is rich.

UN climate conferences clog the skies with private jets.

...

Al Gore, the Clintons, the Obamas, and the Pelosis are all carbon spewing one percenters. They should report to Soylent Green.

If they’re going to be honest about their dishonest position on climate change, they have to stick it to the rich. They’re the ones with 4 or 5 houses, huge yachts, and are private jetting around the globe to preach climate change to the little people.
One rich person would probably create more ‘climate change’ in one year than a family of 4 in a lifetime.

What’s kinda comical is that the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere’s of Venus and Mars are almost identical. Yet one is freezing and the other is, well, a bit hotter. It’s because it’s no more about CO2 than it’s about water vapor. It’s not the existence of water that’s the problem when you are drowning in it. And Venus is drowning in CO2.

0.00136%

The Current total atmospheric CO2 volume is just 0.04% of our atmosphere- That’s it folks! Of that 0.04%, man is responsible for just 3.4% of the Current Total Atmospheric CO2- Meaning that the total atmospheric CO2 produced by man is just 0.00136% of our atmosphere.

0.04% divided by 3.4% = 0.00136%

I would like the scare mongering propagandists on the left to please explain to the world how just 0.00136% of the atmosphere can possibly capture enough escaping heat, and then back radiate that heat at an even smaller fraction, (Much of the heat gets radiated right out into space), to cause global climate change!

While it is true that the atmospheres of Venus and Mars have the same percentage of carbon dioxide, with regards to the Greenhouse Effect, the fact that Venus' atmospher is about 90 times denser than Earth's, and 15 THOUSAND times denser than Mars', is more significant.

Also the fact that Venus gets 4 or 5 times as much sunlight per sq. cm.

Please leave us Venusians and Martians out of your petty Earthling squabbles!

Regards,

Spending wealth is the same thing as turning it into CO2. The poor, as well as governments, turn 100% of their wealth into CO2. The rich only spend 2 or 3% of their wealth, investing the rest in improving efficiencies, thereby getting richer and making the world greener. If you want to reduce Earth resource consumption you need more rich people, not less. You also need to keep poor people in their home countries and not import them just to keep government schools, hospitals, and jails full.

They need to declare an open-season, no bag limit, on all of the Hollywood and Leftist one-percenters who show up at Climate meetings in their jets and yachts ...

I'm sure that there are plenty on FreeRepublic who would like to offer their services as hunting guides ...

>>>‘One Percenters’ really to blame, and if so, what can we do about it?<<<

Well, I guess you could just kill them all. It’s the easiest solution. Communists have used the same approach for years.

Then you can get rid of all the Farting Cows. Yep, that’s the ticket.

I’m pretty sure there is a clickbait contest on in the media to try and write the most absurd story possible about so-called climate-change.

I have to give an ‘A’ to the story I saw recently about reviving the extinct wooly mammoth will somehow help fix climate change. It involved wooly mammoths tamping down snow and making the ground colder, or something. It ignored the fact wooly mammoths exhale CO2 and methane just like cows, who we’ve previously been told are an extreme hazard to the climate, but whatever. None of it has to be consistent for make sense. It just has to drive clicks.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
