Facebook on Thursday was expected to announce a new partnership with 'the Atlantic Council' to deter people who try to manipulate the social media site in order to sway elections.....[Facebook's] Digital Forensic Research Lab will work closely with our security, policy and product teams to get Facebook real-time insights ... on emerging threats and disinformation campaigns," according to outlined details of the new partnership.
Plan includes looking at 'specific geographic areas' and 'monitoring' misinformation and foreign interference in those regions.
