Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani said Thursday that special counsel Robert Mueller cannot subpoena President Trump.

“We’re pretty comfortable, in the circumstances of this case, they wouldn’t be able to subpoena him personally,” Mr. Giuliani explained on Fox News.

I believe Mueller told Trump’s attorneys that this is the case.

An attorney on after Rudy said Rudy was wrong about this.

I think this is true and they are going to publicly force Mueller to conclude an not cause a constitutional crisis for no good reason.

I watched this on Laura Ingraham last night and it is the same thing that happened when Rudy was on Hannity. He gave Mueller what I call “an offer you can’t refuse” again. The last time two days after the Hannity interview Schneiderman was destroyed. Hint to Frau Mueller cease and desist immediately or be obliterated.

I hope you are right but I don’t think Mueller gives a rat’s behind about creating a constitutional crisis, or distracting the president from extremely important issues. If he had any integrity whatsoever, he would have shut down this political witch hunt a long time ago. The fact that he hasn’t reveals his disdain for the law, his contempt for the president and his complete lack of integrity.

Make no mistake about it, Mueller is working for the Deep State. The well being of the country is not even a consideration for him. He is blinded by his politically driven “assignment” and will not let go until hie has found a way to damage Trump.

Mule-er hasn’t proven any connection at all, direct OR indirect, between Russian interference and President Trump.

So, there’s no compelling reason for President Trump to testify.

This would be only a Democrat fishing expedition.

Yes, which is why Rudy is taking the gloves off and using the media to publicly badger him, hopefully It works.

There's a good Italian gesture, and Rudy, being of that descent, probably gave it to Mueller...

Yep, I think Mueller is in a ‘trying to save face’ mode now.

I agree. Mueller gives every indication he has blinders on and is impervious to outside criticism from Rudy, the President or anyone else. It appears the President, Rudy, now Pence and Co. believe they can influence public / political opinion in advance of a Mueller report informing / triggering future, 2019 Dem/Media-led impeachment proceedings. So sad the country is being put through this “witch hunt.”

“An attorney on after Rudy said Rudy was wrong about this.”

I’ll go with former U.S. attorney Rudy Giuliani and his strong legal mind, along with what is likely a solid legal team working with Trump.

Mueller & Co. certainly can "subpoena" PDJT or anybody else on Earth, as long as they can find a cooperartive judge to sign a piece of paper.

But that's not really the issue.

Rather, the pertinent question is whether they can compel the POTUS to show up at the courthouse and testify.

So with regard to the latter, the answer must certainly be a big fat NO WAY.

RE:”They could probably require documents to be produced. That’s what was required of Nixon. We’ve provided 1.4 million documents. They probably could require you to testify in a civil case, possibly even as a witness in a criminal case, but they can’t require you to testify in what would be your own case because, after all, it’s all about a possible impeachment,” he added.”

???

Which means they can, then accuse him of perjury. .

Yep, I was just thinking about that very thing.

Justice Dept would fight any subpoena issued and would undoubtedly prevail.

I think that Rudy will soon be turning up the heat on Mueller, right after the IG report is released. Its going to expose more of the partisan activities in the FBI/DOJ and provide a lot of ammunition for Rudy to bash Mueller with.

I think this would be a golden opportunity for Trump to shut down the witch hunt.

He can probably issue a subpoena to whomever he wants, but how could he enforce it???

Is he going to ask the US Marshals or the FBI to drag their own boss into court?
