Trump acknowledges Cohen payment on disclosure form

President Trump officially acknowledged for the first time that he paid his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, more than $100,000 in order to reimburse him for expenses he “incurred” in 2016.

Trump’s financial disclosure, released Wednesday by the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), did not list the specific reason for the payment.

But Cohen has said he paid porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in exchange for her silence about her accusations she had a sexual encounter with Trump.

The OGE said the payment should have been included on the disclosure form Trump filed last year, which showed his assets and liabilities from the previous 16 months.

"OGE has concluded that the information related to the payment made by Mr. Cohen is required to be reported and that the information provided meets the disclosure requirement for a reportable liability,” the office said in a note on the 2017 form.

OGE flagged the omission in a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, in case he "may find the disclosure relevant to any inquiry" the Justice Department is pursuing.

Everyone lies about sex, especially when your wife is at home with a newborn and it’s sex with a pornstar.

You just have to laugh at the people who think a billionaire sits at a desk each month and writes out check for their expenses.

If you have a lawyer on retainer and you trust them you just have the checks or transfers sent out

She was paid to keep quiet before the election. After the election, she gets to cash in.

What idiot pays a porn star to keep quiet? They get paid to do evil. How can you expect virtue from them?

I don’t care - he wasn’t in office when he did it. He didn’t assault her. She said she had a good time.

My understanding is that Cohen was reimbursed through his regular retainer fees, and not specifically for the payment to Clifford.

IOW, there was no specific payment.

Cohen was simply on retainer to take care of such nonsense when and if it came up.

Stormy ‘payment’ from Cohen was a couple weeks before the 2016 election.
