Don’t know why our county “El Dorado” home of Hangtown (Placerville) has not done the same.
We voted:
Trump 59%
Clinton 41%
In all 25 of 58 counties in Kalifornia voted Trump. They should all oppose Moonbeam.
There will be no secession. There will be no split states to further unbalance the federal legislature.
THIS is the only way California will survive. Its citizens must fix it themselves.
Mariposa County is not la-la land. It is a haven of the real deal: real cowboys, gold miners, and awesome folks. Except toward Yosemite National Park, where all the leftists hang.
Get a hold of your supervisors and Republican Committee and push them. That’s what I did here in Mariposa, although they were already a step ahead of me.
The problem these smaller counties and municipalities in CA have is the big population centers of Los Angeles and San Francisco control the Legislature because they have the Representative Majority as a result of their large Urban populations. It would be nice if they could former a movement to separate themselves and form a new State, but chances of that happening are slim to none.
It’s basically the Eastern Counties that voted Trump. These rural Counties generate the electricity, grow the food and have the water.
The Clinton voters mostly live and work on top of each other but spend most of their time stuck in traffic.
Few trees grow there that dropped their own nut. Most of the nuts there are actually people.
One would hope if Calif succeeds these Eastern counties would revolt. They should revolt regardless.

Actually, I’m a little surprised that something on the order of 35 of California’s 58 counties haven’t already come out in opposition to the Sanctuary State “Law.” Particularly the counties that are involved in the “State of Jefferson” movement.
The idea that California is some big Liberal monolith is just not the case. If the SCOTUS had not “created” The One Man One Vote Joke, California would be a very different place today. The other thing that would help CA is if the Census didn’t count non-citizens or allow their numbers to be used to establish legislative districts. As it stands today, Los Angeles County alone has about six more Congressmen that it should be entitled to. If the Census is changed, people like Maxine Waters, Adam Schiff, and Brad Sherman would have to run against each other. Think of that!
The western counties think they’re revolting anyway. Why not revolt, preferably to unseat moonbeam. But part of Virginia did it the other way in ‘61.

Secession will never occur, but if it did, most of California would vote to stay in the US. Los Angeles is at the moment a lost cause, but even San Diego County would not leave.

State of Jefferson was a strong presence during the 2 meetings Board of Supervisors held on this. It was the unanimous push by the citizens of Mariposa County that gave the supervisors the backbone to make the resolution. Well, 4 out of 5 of the supervisors. The one lefty supervisor is a Bay Area plant.
