What if HQ2 is really HQ New...

That’s what’s been happening with a lot of companies, particularly those who come to Texas. So much so that it’s being called the “Texas Two-Step” - open an ‘expansion’ HQ or facility in Texas, then ‘decide’ to move the main facility or HQ to Texas for “convenience and efficiency reasons.’ Most notably, Toyota did that in fleeing from California. The CA morons derided the possibility of such a move until it happened and now they’re terrified of what it does to their tax base.
Amazon ain’t leaving Seattle, they’re expanding like crazy there (in addition to HQ2).
And $20 million is a mere nuisance fee to them.
