Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has spoken with Blackwater founder Erik Prince, two sources familiar with the matter tell The Daily Beast. It was not immediately clear what questions Mueller’s team had or what information Prince shared with the special counsel.
Prince attended a now-controversial meeting with the head of Russia’s sovereign wealth fund in the Seychelles on Jan. 11, 2017—just over a week before Inauguration Day. The Washington Post reported that Mueller is interested in potential efforts at the Seychelles meeting to set up a backchannel between the Trump administration and the Kremlin.
A spokesman for the special counsel declined to comment.

This has expanded FAR beyond Trump and Russia. It’s an attack on any person or entity that dare challenges the Deep State Media Cartel (aka: Swamp). An attempted purge, to silence any and all opposition. The fine print is it can’t succeed in light... it demands darkness... so far a lotta noise not much else as the light still shines, in spite of the best efforts of dark media.
I think Trump knows this and will let go on as #RustyIrony... it’s serving his purpose to expose the Swamp. Mueller and band of inquisitors IMHO may find themselves as did Haman in the Old Testament book of Esther... his mission: destroy Mordecai (who dared not bow to him) and the Jews.

This MF has now strayed into the land of the purview entirely of the President. If he wishes to set up a back channel so be it, it is not a whiff of a conspiracy. I guess Stormfuher Mueller has not followed history like when Kennedy set up back channels trying to defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis or any one of a number of events in history of a similar nature. Of course when dems do it it is fine. Recall how they hounded Reagan over the absurd notion that he had an agreement to release the hostages after being sworn in?? Same old play book.
There is going to be hell to pay for this - not only in the poor light it shines on Mueller but in future admins there will be a reluctance to get things going.

I remember commenting on FR at the time, that there is NO OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT-ELECT. Period. He was, is and always will be a total dufus. So sad he was able to destroy so much in his 8 years in control.

It’s clear to me that Mueller’s true purpose is to exonerate everyone who was in government- especially the Justice dept- of any blame for anything. Hence, the obsession with Trump’s campaign and administration.

I would say back channel communications between an elected administration and any foreign government are normal, typical, necessary and classified beyond Muellers leaky need to know
