The Department of Justice Office of Inspector General review of DOJ and FBI conduct in the Clinton investigation has been ongoing for over 17 months. That’s a long time for a single investigation, and with good reason. The scale of the misconduct is staggering.

What nonsense. They're just issuing a 'good government' report on whether errors were made. It should have taken about 8-10 weeks to do this review.
They simply needed to chronicle the actions taken (no grand jury, failure to secure evidence, grants of immunity, etc) and then obtain comments from retired career prosecutors and special agents as to whether there was a departure from standard practice.
Spoiler: there was.
This is all just a delaying tactic. The notion that Sessions and Rosenstein are selling that there is some reason why a "good government" review by an Inspector General must take place before any criminal investigation can even start is an insult to our intelligence.
And by the way, 90+% of the people walking into the OIG doors in the morning and out of those doors at night are Democrats. You can be sure that nothing that comes out of the report will be a surprise to the Dems.

He was talking about some kind of sci-fi wish fulfillment but I see it for the threat and anger that it is. That “damn” laptop was a smoking gun against the narrative they’d tried to spin. The evidence against their fraudulent investigation.
