It is staggering to witness the Justice Department go off the rails and barrel toward a showdown with our president over innuendo and manufactured misdeeds. From the beginning of the special counsel appointment and despite Jeff Sessions's recusal, I felt confident that Trump and Sessions had a behind-the-scenes plan to navigate this quagmire. Ridiculous was the notion that Trump's attorney general, Jeff Sessions, was not fully in his camp in light of the glaring double standards of justice demonstrated at every point from before the election to present day. I expected the A.G. to pursue other completely legitimate avenues that might create leverage and pressure on Rosenstein and by proxy, the special counsel, to gracefully withdraw their aggression against the president. And yet we sit here dumbfounded as the witch hunt lingers on. Earth to Jeff Sessions?

I don't know what his problem is, but he is not effective.
Sessions, Rosenstein, and Mueller are protected by threats by GOP to impeach Trump if he moves against them. Assuming we survive the midterm elections in good shape, Trump should call their bluff and fire all three of them.
The United States is in one of the greatest crises in its history. Never has an effective Attorney General been needed more, and this takes into consideration the Civil War and other dangerous times. Sessions is obviously not the man for the job.
Jeff Sessions has been AG for 1 year, 2 months, 25 days.
Jeff Sessions is the James Buchanan of Attorneys General.
Interesting! Perhaps his pals here can quit with the 3D chess nonsense.
He needs to get out now. He’s disgraced himself.
The startling thing is...good friends and supporters of Sessions are now questioning his integrity. Why is Sessions destroying his previously sterling career and reputation?
Mkay... the IG report comes out in a week and indictments - already in hand - are handed down. Ugh, well... why not McCabe now. Why not the 'retired SA' that committed a raft of crimes and is given a bye.
Why the 70 blank subpoenas over miscellaneous crimes and the full force of every angle of the law against Trump folks when nobody... I mean nobody... associated with the democrats gets a single indictment?
This fully and completely ruins the structure of our government. We are a full blown Banana Republic with all the trimmings a it will be known as the Sessions' era.
Trust Sessions.
/s.
Sessions is wondering around with his thumb up his butt and his noise up Rosentein ass. This idiot thinks the DOJ and FBI are in great shape. The only thing Sessions will be remembered for besides being a useless AG worse that Holder is a very good gofer getting coffee for Rosentein.
Trump should fire all of them the day North Korea destroys their nuke program and which story the press focus on. An obvious answer to all here
Sessions will have to check with Rosentein on any indictments.
These threads always make me laugh. Current investigations are not to be discussed. People are used to AG’s breaking that rule.
Sessions doesn’t break rules.
“Interesting! Perhaps his pals here can quit with the 3D chess nonsense.

Porky pig and Elmer Fudd cartoons aren’t’t even funny anymore with this jagoff.
Yes, where are all his supporters, butt-buddies, hangers-on and sycophants? Please explain why we should support what appears to a real stinking POSS (piece of swamp shit)!
After being called out by Giuliani and many other conservative heavyweight legal minds, I predict a Sessions resignation within 48 hours.
“Sessions is AWOL in a moment of national crisis.”
-akin to our many AWOL elected officials during the Benghazi attack only this time, we have to watch the very fabric of our nation and rule of law be destroyed. While those in the position to save it - do nothing
I think that Trump was not really prepared to deal with Sessions for realsies, and that he had probably planned to replace him due to the stink of Southernness which is a stigma among elites, sort of like being an untouchable in India’s caste system.
Yesterday Giuliani acted like Rosenstein was all Sessions fault when Sessions had fired him, Trump brought him back, and it was speculated that Rosenstein would serve as a check on Sessions, boxing him in. Instead, Rosenstein has boxed Trump in!
Trump made a very serious miscalculation on Rosenstein. The best thing that he can do is to make his peace with Sessions and move heaven and earth to get all those nominees confirmed. Herding Jeff Sessions into the arms of Mitch the turtle does Trump no good whatsoever.
