The conservative blog RedState experienced mass firings Friday because of what its parent company, Salem Media, characterized as a decision influenced by finances. But one writer who was laid off said she is skeptical of that characterization, adding that she believes the website is effectively trying to silence voices that are not, in their view, sufficiently supportive of President Trump and his policies...
If this is a decision just strictly made for money purposes, they would want to keep the ones who were bringing in the most [page] views, Wright said...
Indeed, Mediaite obtained RedStates traffic report for the month of March. During that month, more than 2.5 million readers visited the website. Of those 7,034,125 million readers, 740,339 clicked on Wrights posts, making her the most-read author on the site.

It's not who has the largest share of the those few viewers remaining - after RedState NeverTrumpers so reduced the website's viewership.
Its about who were the NeverTrump writers who caused Trump supporters to leave RedState like a stinky turd.
Amazing that supposed “Conservatives” are this ignorant of how Capitalism works.
No, you were Bush League Republican Cheap Labor Express stooges.
We the people of the United States don’t want any more illegal aliens.
We finally have a President on our side and BOTH parties are pi$$ed off about it.
No, you were insufferably priggish. Fat, drunk and never Trump is no way to go through life, deary.
Maybe they could all get jobs at National Review?
The conservatives who continued to attack Mr Trump after he won the Republican nomination made a serious mistake. The Democrats have no use for these people, and, surprise, surprise, conservative voters have no use for them either.
The world needs bee keepers, kelp farmers, and Uber drivers. Find a new career that suits you.
I never read it after Erickson came out against Trump.
I would get rid of all the #NeverTRUMPers too & hire MAGA TRUMPers
Well Wright - start you own website. Call it “Big State Globalist Cheap Labor Express Screw America Writers Pretending to be Conservatives.
Well, yea, When you are completely out of touch with the Public, you are BAD FOR BUSINESS!
NeverTrumpism is bad for business.
Accidentally clicked on one of this bitch, Wright’s, stories once from a news aggregator. She’s awful. She’s virulently neverTrumper and hate-filled, up to and including attacking Ivanka’s appearance. Yeah, if you’re so great start your own website. See how that works out for you.
I hope RedRussiaState goes belly up.
Love the squealing going on! It is so fun to see the NeverTrumpers unhappy.
Miserable traitors went rent free for two years, paid no price for their constant slander of Trump, and lost so many readers they nearly broke the joint!
Consequences of screwing around the conservatives, while claiming to be one, is very satisfying.
IOW, insufficiently Trumpist.
Unlike hard news outlets, political outlets don’t claim to not have a core political belief system - whether its The Nation, Mother Jones, Brietbart or Conservative Treehouse.
Your beliefs are at odds with management? Then go find a company that agrees with you to work for. End of story.
Oh, you were partisan all right: Uniparty.
“The conservatives who continued to attack Mr Trump after he won the Republican nomination made a serious mistake.”
How would you distinguish between “attack(ing) Mr. Trump” and “holding President Trump accountable?”
All too often what I read at FR is the attitude that Trump is immune to ANY criticism, and such expressions reveal that to many here Trump is someone infallible to be worshiped, an idol who may not be viewed objectively. I am delighted to praise POTUS when he is right in my view, but I am also comfortable in criticizing him when he does not.
It's not difficult, the attack dogs cannot avoid personal attacks and reveal their sanctimony and arrogance. That's what they call holding him accountable. That's the voters job and they will do it much better than these insufferable twits in the media and among the Republican establishment.
