But... but... Obama’s diplomatic efforts with China and NK over 8 years laid the foundations that led to this inevitable conclusion due to his brilliant management of this issue!! He should get another Nobel Prize!!

If Trump even just gets nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, I expect some Bay Area Libs to start jumping into the San Francisco Bay. Antifa will go through few public tantrums and burn-downs. Schools will give themselves yet another excuse to march and yell profane socialist slogans instead of holding classes.

Not enough. Say “we we’re wrong. He was right. We we’re fools. He was smart. We we’re dangerous. He saved us from ourselves.”

Yes, but Trumps’ efforts are nullified by the liberal brain shrapnel from their exploding skulls.

I’d like to see some actual positive steps, and not just words, from North Korea before I start celebrating much. But President Trump definitely deserves the award if deeds follow words.

Reminds me of the old World War I era saying, to paraphrase, how are you going to keep them down on the farm, once they have seen Paris?

The committee might send an email to Trump, telling him to pick up his Peace Prize from Obutthole.

Taking a calculated jump over a pile of @hit(TPP,Paris) is not an “unnecessary misstep,” but a righteous leap.

Obama should send the President his undeserved Peace Prize.

A little premature at this time, but since the fools on the Nobel committee “gushed” a prize to Odumbo for absolutely nothing, might as well sling one to Trump, too. Meaningless twaddle in any case.

Nobel Peace Prize is nothing more than an unfunny joke.

I think to even consider awarding the prize to President Trump it will have to be shared with Kim or Xi.

Exactly. Word will fast spread that in Seoul - or even in the most rural areas - one can work much less, in better conditions, for far greater pay, eating far better, in superior housing, than all but the grandest positions in NK. The staggering part is how true this is ... the aspiration being to what Americans consider abject poverty.

Bare sustenance aside, the greatest shock will be: freedom of speech. They’ll be stunned at how much _criticism_ of leaders exists. Not knowing the protocol & patterns of such, they’re going to freak people out with what they say once they make the mental breakthrough.

The other shock, interesting contrasting with the proliferation of goods/services, will be the “magic glass slate” providing cognitive wonders far beyond anything they can comprehend: instant worldwide publication/communication, virtual “worlds” (games), near-sum total of human knowledge, and OMG the cat videos.

I’ve heard of Russians, during the Cold War, having mental breakdowns in the cereal aisle in American grocery stores re: the staggering variety available.
This will be orders of magnitude harder for NKs to grasp.

And then they move to Seoul and the folks will resent them because they will drive down wages. To quote that song from "The Offspring", "You gotta keep 'em separated."

If his worthless predecessor can have the prize for doing nothing then DJT deserves two of them — one for NoKo and one for SoKo. This world has become so much better with Trump as POTUS.

TGFT (Thank God For Trump).

Years ago, when I took a Soviet citizen through an ordinary American grocery store, he found it all incomprehensible. The hardest thing for him to believe was that our stores always looked like that - that the same variety would still be on the shelves that evening, the next day, and even the day after that. Today's socialists need to learn what the real thing was like before they buy into that totalitarian nightmare again.

If this were to happen, Trump should treat the Nobel committee just like he’s about to treat the Washington press dinner. Give it a giant snub. The President has done what no other U.S. President has done in more than years on the Korean peninsula - get the North to recognize there is no way out but reconciling with the South.

What does Trump need with a stupid Nobel prize? He’s got enough money to cast his own gold trophy and call it the “Trump Peace Prize,” shaped like a giant middle finger.
