It is very serious and the larger US drones are not immune (it is just a mater of time an power, as the jamming has now compromised some of the same sort of systems the large drones use)

When our comms were jammed a tone that replicated “bagpipes” was only thing we could hear..... not sure what the sounds are these days . Probably rap ....

I only carried and used those monstrous PRC-77 radios (and occasionally, a PRC-25). Heavy to carry during exercises. Glad that I was a grenadier instead of an RTO most of the time.

Still carried enough, though. My load was around 80 lbs. most of the time. That varied, ‘cause we were light engineers (re. demo and other toys).

Remember humping multiple PRC25/77’s up to high peaks to build re-transmission caches back in the day ....... triangulation was a real threat then. These days watching CCT’s, TACP’s and JTAC’s orchestrating awesome firepower with two small HF radios on they’re body armor, CAS and Artillery like wizards ...... impressive advances in comm since the “pricks” .
