Democrats' path to take over the House in November took a sharp right turn last night as a Republican won a special congressional election in Arizona's 8th Congressional District.
Debbie Lesko, a former state senator, bested Democrat Hiral Tipirneni, a physician, by about 10,000 votes. Donald Trump won Arizona by 21 points in 2016.
Lesko will serve out the term of Rep. Trent Franks, who resigned in disgrace.

Blue Wave? I think I heard this morning that the pubbies have won 6 out of 9 special elections. Dems won a couple of high profile elections.
If there is a Blue Wave which is certainly questionable at this stage, it will occur as a result of Democrats running as conservatives. Does anyone think that these Democrats will vote as conservatives? Many naïve voters will believe that and they will be disappointed.
I for one am tired of hearing that the fate of the country depends on every special election.
We Freepers have to understand that these special elections are
a result of GOP House member scandals. We cannot compare
how Trump won by larger margins because of the effect these
scandals have on GOP voter turnout. GOP voters, unlike RAT
voters hold the party responsible. And express that by not showing up
to vote.
This special election was not about Trump, but about Trent Franks.
We will be just fine in the upcoming 2018 elections.

When November rolls around, Trumpies Republicans will pickup 6-10 Senate seats and believe it or not, they will also win between 10-20 House seats. Democrats, Obama, Clinton, Holder, Lynch, the DOJ/FBI are destroying the Democrat party!!!
But Bill ‘antiTrump’ Kristol said the Dems will sweep in November and turn the GOP against Trump... Bill, how can you turn against someone WHEN YOU ARE ALREADY AGAINST THEM??????!!!!

I NEVER believed in a blue wave. They talked about this crap since 2008.
The only “blue wave” I can think which I find similar to liberals is the blue wave from that toilet washer when I flush the toilet..
Every election since Obozo was elected, the country appeared to move to the right (more conservative).
Liberals lost the house. Then the liberals saw a larger majority by the Pubs, they lost the senate. They then lost the white house, majority of governorships / state houses.
They’ve gained a couple of special elections, but also lost a few special elections. Also, the propaganda media touted how there was going to be a “Blue Wave in Texas”. lol They got trounced in Texas.
So...no..I see no blue wave.
That’s right. And all that “noise” is from loud leftards protesting in the media etc. Conservatives tend to be more chill and quiet and we do our talk at the ballot box.
Perfect example? The “polls” stating Hitlery was ahead by 25 points before election day..
