Head of U.S. forces in Syria visits Israel

Head of the U.S. military’s Central Command, Gen. Joseph Votel visits Israel amid concerns Trump will withdraw forces from Syria.

Votel met with the head of the National Security Council, the IDF Chief of Staff, other defense officials.

A diplomatic source said that the purpose of the visit was to send a signal of reassurance to Israel that the Americans had no immediate plans to withdraw from Syria and that they would continue to back Israel on any activity intended to maintain the security of its border.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the U.S. would be out of Syria "very soon" in the fight against the Islamic State (ISIS).

"We're knocking the hell out of ISIS. We'll be coming out of Syria, like, very soon," he said in an Ohio speech focused on infrastructure, according to The Hill.

"Let the other people take care of it now. Very soon. Very soon, we're coming out. We're going to have a hundred percent of the caliphate, as they call it. Sometimes referred to as land, taking it all back. Quickly, quickly," he added.

The U.S. military presence in Syria has been aimed at ISIS, but the Trump administration criticized Syrian President Al-Assad, citing his human rights record and use of chemical weapons against civilians.

Trump hinted last month that the U.S. would be out of Syria "very soon" in the fight against the Islamic State (ISIS). In response to the Douma attack, the United States, France and Britain launched joint air strikes on Syria.

French President Emmanuel Macron after air strikes looked to convince Trump to keep a U.S. presence in Syria for "the long term."

The White House played down Macron’s statement and said Trump still wants U.S. forces in Syria to return home as soon as possible.

Trump recently announced that he would create a coalition / army of Arab countries, and then U.S. forces would withdraw. I don't believe that includes the U.S. Fifth and Sixth Fleets, as they would be there to support this Arab army. God is always in control, and this may be fulfillment once again toward Ezekiel 38-39, as this coalition's ulterior motive is to join with either Iran or Russia to attack Israel.

So, the countries recruited could be Libya, Sudan and Ethiopia--Ethiopian illegals already present in Tel Aviv, facing mass deportation to likely Uganda (see next news post from Aruz Sheva 7) are livid with Israel and would gladly join the fight as part of Russia's pan-Arab coalition's plans to wipe the State of Israel from existence and get its take of the vast technological, agricultural, natural gas and oil fields in the ocean depths (fuel), and everything else they want to squeeze from it.

Egypt is the only regional (Sunni) Army big enough to take on the stabilization mission in Syria (now that Turkey has flipped to the dark side) - but someone else (Gulf Arabs) would have to pay for it.

GEN Joe Votel is an unsung hero, who turned around CENTCOM in one month and kicked ISIS ass to hell and back.
