Politico Reporter: With DNC Lawsuit, Democrats Worry Their Party

The cash-strapped Democratic National Committee has decided to be clown itself further by suing Wikileaks, Russia, and the Trump campaign for collusion during the 2016 election. For a party that’s tired of the media talking about Hillary and 2016, this is a way to keep both issues front and center. It’s going to re-open the wounds between the left and far left of the Democratic Party, erecting another obstacle for unity as the party heads into the 2016 election.

Is the DNC's Trump-Russia conspiracy lawsuit a "political stunt?"

Now, if you’re a Democrat, it keeps Russia in the news, as the interest in it has flat lined (for quite some time now; no one cares), though depositions and other points of investigation and discovery can be executed; CBS This Morning’s Leslie Sanchez gave rundown into how a Democrat would view this move by the DNC. Well, some of them at least. Sanchez also noted that a) it still doesn’t resolve the allegations the progressive Left has hurled at the DNC, which is that they colluded with the Clinton campaign to torpedo Bernie Sanders; and b) they’re virtually bankrupt. The DNC had to take out a $2 million loan to keep the lights on. They’re millions of dollars in the hole. And even members of their own party see this as a bunch of baloney. Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) called the whole affair a “silly distraction.” Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) said this was an “ill-conceived” exercise, and that she does not support it. As Cortney noted earlier this morning, the RNC has plenty of cannon fodder.

@clairecmc spox tells me and @stltoday that McCaskill considers #dnclawsuit a “silly distraction.”— Chuck Raasch (@craasch) April 20, 2018

Dem Rep. Speier On DNC Lawsuit: “Ill-Conceived,” “Not Supportive Of It”

For McCaskill, you can see why she would probably say this, given that she could be fighting for her political life, and that voters in a state where Trump won by double-digits probably wouldn’t be thrilled to see her give a robust endorsement of this political stunt. Yet, Speier has nothing to worry about it. She’ll probably represent her district until the end of her days unless redistricting forces her into a primary. It takes a lot for a California liberal, who is anti-Trump and from a state where this Russian collusion nonsense is digested daily, to tell her party’s committee apparatus that this is a dumb, dumb move. After over a year of investigating, there is zero evidence to suggest there was collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign. The Comey memos, which were supposed to contain some bombshell from the former FBI director about these allegations, yielded nothing; it barely lasted 24 hours in the news cycle. It’s pathetic, really. Democrats cannot stand that they lost in 2016. They can’t lose; they’re so awesome, or something. So, because of that—they had to be cheated. Or maybe they had a terrible candidate with no charisma, economic message, or political skill that though she could win, despite these awful flaws, while also calling half the nation deplorable for supporting Trump. Doesn’t sound like a big baseline to win. Trump was not heavyweight either a candidate, but he spoke to the voters’ interests, spoke about jobs, visited their communities, and made himself as a cheerleader for the country; liberals are incapable of doing that because they’re obsessed in their campaign to tear down America.

Hillary lost. She will never be president. Acceptance is a natural part of the process during grieving.

On a side note, MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski had Mimi Rocah, the former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, on this morning’s broadcast of Morning Joe, where she said her first reaction to the lawsuit was “oh no, please don’t.” She said that as a prosecutor it’s important to control the flow of information in your case. She said it was not good if you’re Mueller or are working on his team. Brzezinski added this is yet another time the Democrats seem incapable of hitting a homerun concerning the timing, to which Politico’s Jake Sherman said there was little disagreement over that with elected Democrats on the Hill.

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski Criticizes DNC Lawsuit, Says Dems “Can’t Seem To Hit A Homerun On Any Level”

Sherman said Democrats “like their party is focused on Russia almost maniacally to the detriment of every other issue that matters.”

Yeah, but the hysteria has been that way for quite some time.

On the lighter brighter side, Democrats might also discover another 200 people to blame for Hillary's loss...

Sherman said Democrats “like their party is focused on Russia almost maniacally to the detriment of every other issue that matters.”

Which is why I support their nonsense.

Hell I encourage it.

I know TDS is religion and dogma.

Karma is on the hunt

#3. Re “Dems need to be counter sued so damned hard their lawyers quit and get an honest job”.

A couple of thoughts.

You can’t countersue until the first suit against you. Then the fun begans - Interrogatories and Depositions; subpoenas for massive amounts of relevant records with a No Destroy preservation order to go along with it. Many subpoenas for anyone in the DNC and affiliated groups who were involved in any of the criminal events associated with the Clinton Foundation, Podesta files, Russian payments for speeches, trips, etc., Sidney Blumenthal, Fusion GPS, etc.

With every new relevation about illegal and unethical/corrupt Democrat Party practices and contacts within the DOJ/FBI/State Dept/IRS, Trump/Campaign and Company will be tying these traitors up in lawsuits and procedures for the next 2-3 years (even into the 2020 elections).

And there is more to come! How do I know - I’m old enough to know that others know where the bodies are buried. I was an archaeologist for a few years and we knew where to look for bodies/villages, artifacts.

There are other loyal Americans in and/or retired from the FBI, CIA, IRS, State Dept. etc. who will come out of hiding and have their revenge on these traitors.

Plus, they might even be able to work in Discover on the Benghazi coverup and deaths because there are many eyewitnesses who have yet to be allowed to tell their story.

All Trump and his DOJ have to do is to issue an Executive Order releasing them from the “forced” Non-Disclosure agreement they had to sign. “Let loose the dogs of war and the truth” and they might be able to bring down Obama, Hillary, Kerry, Susan Rice, Rhodes, and every SOB who abandoned Ambassador Smith and his staff/rescue team to the Islamic barbarians in Libya.

Also, in a counter-suit, Democrat collusion with Russian “citizens” (aka Russian agents) could be explored. That would destroy the Democrat Party because you should be able to enter examples of “precedents” of Dems colluding with the Soviets/KGB, from Ted Kennedy, Chris Dodd, John Conyers, Bella Abzug, etc. going back to the 40’s.

If you know any history about Soviet operations from the 1930’s onwards, esp. concerning members of Congress, the White House (Harry Hopkins and Lauchlin Curry), and the State Department (Alger Hiss and the gang), you will see where I’m going with this.

Perez and Ellison, two of the most hate-filled leaders of the Democrat Party, may have just signed their own death warrant with their insane efforts to sue Trump and administration.

As for Democrat lawyers quitting and getting an honest job, not possible. They sold their souls to the DP a long time ago and soon nobody will want to be associated with them when DP acts of treason are exposed (which might bring them into the charging pool).

The leading Democrat law firms cannot never again be trusted to support the Constitution and to defend the United States. They should be blacklisted or “redlisted” by the industry and their honest clients or potential clients (The Govt should not do it; let the private sector dole out the punishment if it has any honor).

The Democrat Party, the DNC, the DSCC (once got Mafia money for the Clintons), and their fronts will be exposed for who and what they are - greedy criminals, corrupt politicians, unethical beings, and for some, colluders with our enemies from the old Soviet Union to Russia today and Red China, as well as Communist Cuba.

Let the lawsuits begin. I want to see Dem legal blood flow like the Mighty Mississippi from courthouses all over DC.
I’ll bring the popcorn!

As they should be. This deliberate lie is so over-the-top even some liberals are walking away. You see them every now and then on Yahoo. They’ve had enough of the nonsense.

They're absolutely right on all counts! The article even has a Freudian slip: "as the party heads into the 2016 (sic) election." I know what you can do, guys. Split into two parties with competing candidates. You'll get creamed in 2018, but maybe in 20 years...

Seems like they are attempting to adapt their successful environmentalist tactics to politics in general, they tactic is to create a false issue such as an endangered species or water shortage and the file lawsuit after lawsuit to crush their opponent and get what they want

Would be a dream come true......as you so thoroughly outlined the legal possibilities due to the Democrats’ stupidity.

Even Benghazi is in the mix.

I might add we still do not know where Obama was that night-——absent from the situation room as the murderous events played out.

Le’s get the wire transfers out of the WH that night.....will prove my theory that the Kenyan was moving money offshore.

All the Democrats have is hysteria. This is needed to hold the base of lunatics together. They have nothing else.

You can’t have rational policy discussions when your party is mostly made up of takers and raving lunatics.

A sane liberal judge would do his party a favor by throwing this out as frivolous. But, that couldn’t be said in public, so to save face, they’d find a way to accomplish the same thing.

Looks like the "but" phrase pretty well absorbs all that preceded it. There are still some fools on our side who still can't swallow our PRESIDENT Trump's greatness.
