Any relation to Obama hack David Axlerod ?
They seem to suffer the same lack of integrity.
Except for the reference in the McCabe report, this is the only other time I have seen a reference to Matthew Axelrod:
As a top-ranking attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice, Matt Axelrod didn’t make it too far into the Trump Administration’s tenure before he walked off the job.
After President Trump on Jan. 30 fired his boss, Acting Attorney General Sally Q. Yates, for refusing to defend his immigration ban — an executive order that temporarily banned travel to the U.S. from seven predominantly Muslim countries (a revised order was issued Mar. 6) — Axelrod departed, too. His official title had been principal associate deputy attorney general and he had worked closely with Yates.
ACLJ report: “We’ve also learned that within 2 minutes of the first press inquiry about the Clinton-Lynch meeting, senior DOJ officials had added Matthew Axelrod, the Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General, into the conversation. Axelrod was the number two to Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and according to his bio, “took the lead in advising on crisis management within the DOJ, working closely with the White House, Congress, the FBI, and the media on DOJ’s most sensitive and high-profile matters.”
So within 2 minutes of learning that the press had found out about the secret Clinton-Lynch meeting, senior DOJ officials knew they had a crisis on their hands.”
