The Daily Mail is using the British slang word, "skunk," in general to refer to marijuana.

Actual drug addiction or simply being taken to a clinic??

Pot isn’t addictive.

Yes. There’s also a mention in the article of a “sharp increase in cocaine use” in teens.

Don’t confuse the argument with your facts. We can easily solve the problem by making it illegal for minors to have pot. Oh wait, it’s already illegal for minors? Okay then let’s make it illegal for everybody to have pot. That’ll fix the problem for sure.

Users who buy small quantities get pretty anxious about finding a dealer before the weekend. ;-)

Try to tell people that MJ causes some form of psychosis whether mild or strong, and they will argue with you ‘till the cows come home. But the fact is, irrational fear is one of the common first immediate effects of smoking MJ.

Certainly, it can have negative effects on those who consume it. So can alcohol.

Neither should be illegal.

There’s a strong libertarian presence on this site, which favors marijuana legalization.

As we moved to legalize recreational drug use, I’ve noticed that nobody wants to talk about whether marijuana is harmful in any way, or whether it is a gateway drug.

It seems as if the debate has shifted, and we are told that since alcohol is legal and cigarettes are legal, then .
marijuana also should be legal.

I’m not saying that I’m either in favor of or against marijuana legalization. I’m just observing how the debate and discussion of the issue has evolved.

If toking some bud turns one psychotic, they were pretty close to the edge already.

Those who end up in psychosis were likely headed there anyway.

10’s of millions have smoked pot and not ended up there. Perhaps 100’s of millions.

If it wasn’t going to be pot, another substance or event would have triggered it. Extreme stress, whiskey, opioids, benzodiazepines, LSD, Ecstacy, crank.

That said, kids today should not do what we adults did as teens. The evidence is in that kids should not smoke pot.

Other drugs to calm their fear are now easily available.

The democrat party wants potheads as they are easy to control as they cannot hold down good jobs and will need gov’t assistance.

IMHO, I think pot’s like liquor.
These substances bring out the cray-cray that’s already alive and well somewhere down in the mental paw paw patch...!

Someone needs to go and arrest God. How dare him! /s
