In a new effort to empathize with illegal immigrants, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared himself to be one of them himself in a bill signing ceremony Thursday.
“I’m undocumented," Cuomo declared at the ceremony, where he signed legislation to protection union membership. "You want to deport an undocumented person, start with me because I’m an undocumented person.”
The governor also explained that he and his family know what it means to be a victim of racial prejudice.
“I’m an Italian-American," he explained. "I came from poor Italian-Americans who came here. You know what they called Italian-Americans back in the day? They called them wops. You know what wop stood for? Without papers.”
Some pointed out the insensitivity of Cuomo's comments.
Seems to me that @NYGovCuomo’s rhetorical charade of pretending to be undocumented, and calling to be deported — which of course he can never be — just minimizes the plight of actual undocumented immigrants. And is, for lack of better word, DUMB.— S.E. Cupp (@secupp) April 20, 2018

What stories like this show is that illegal immigrants are starting to rival American blacks as the favored, privileged pampered pets of the liberal elite.
This buffoon is running for president in 2020, and he’s trying to appeal to the illegal alien wing of the Democrat Party!
As a blue-collar Italian-American kid, son of an FDNY fireman, neither of whose parents was educated beyond high school, I am really ticked off at this.
This “I am Spartacus” moment is a transparent effort to curry favor with the morons that voted for him in the first place, and indicates that he is being driven to distraction by Cynthia Nixon, who has better name recognition, is smarter, has better leftist bona fides (”married” lesbian), and who has better command of the English language than he does.
Andrew was born in Queens, his father was a lawyer, he went to private schools, and grew up in one of the nicest of the Outer Boroughs, where maltreatment of the Italian immigrants were items of minor historical interest and not even close to ongoing ethnic oppression.
If “white privilege” actually existed, Andrew Cuomo would be its poster boy.
Here’s the deal: Andrew’s delusion is that he is going to run for President. Yeah, as if somebody who sounds like he comes from Hunt’s Point will actually win the Democratic nomination, much less a general election.
Like his father, he is an empty suit who will go nowhere.
Your solution is perfect......just put him on a boat back to the old country.
To go back he needs to take his pass port that is in fact the documentation he claims not to have
