What could possibly go wrong?

Err...no. If you’re still on parole, you haven’t done all your time, yet.

Most of them live in Democrat saturated districts anyway and New York is working its way toward beating New Jersey as the California of the east.

In this state, when you're released from prison and you're on parole, you still don't have the right to vote, Cuomo said. Now how can that be? You did your time. You paid your debt. You're released, but you still don't have a right to vote.Uh, no, if you're on parole, it's still part of your sentence and your rights have not been restored. Besides, does he feel the same way about the gun prohibition, which they DO improperly extend beyond restoration of all other rights? Didn't think so.

You did your time. You paid your debt. Then why are they on parole?

I’ll bet he doesn’t give them back their gun ownership rights.

If you're on parole, you haven't completed your sentence.
Executive Order?? Doubt this is legal in any way, shape or form.

Excerpt from Quora:
"The constitution is silent on who gets to vote. Election laws were individual to each colony. Elections were "town hall" events. Most of the citizenry were either employees or tenants of the biggest of the landholders. Vote was by show of hands. So a handful of the really big landholders could hold sway over thousands of votes. By limiting the franchise to only landholders, economically independent of the rich, that weighted influence disappeared. An owner of two acres had the same voice as an owner with two thousand."If the governor's Executive Order is unconstitutional, the courts should decide.
In my opinion, if you pay taxes, parole or not, you should have the right to vote. Taxation without representation is tyranny.

It’s OK. That state is not in play for the rest of us anyway (apologies and pity to those who live there). All this means is that they’ll get even worse horse’s a$$es into office statewide.

Wrong. While it may be next to impossible to win the electoral college, there are still Republican House races that could be affected.

You hard-working blue collar types in Rochester and Buffalo have gotta love that. Your vote being canceled out by a felon.
To: yesthatjallen
Judges must start explicitly sentencing felons to forfeiture of civil rights, specifically voting rights, until restoration by a court with jurisdiction after hearing evidence on an individual basis.
Blanket executive restoration is likely to occur in all states with Democrat governors, since they view criminals as their constituents for the reasons we all know.
