I thought that Cohen wasn’t a real lawyer and didn’t have any other clients than Trump?

I have one question. This smells like a fishing expedition.

Would not the warrant state what is being looked for or would it be just any written and electronic correspondence of Mr. Cohen? I mean I would expect that they would have to have to shown the judge some probably cause of a crime and that the warrant would be directed to providing documentation of that specific crime.

If the police find a dead body in the search of a house for drugs, I am sure they can use that as evidence of a crime. But is due process so screwed up that a search warrant issued about an attorneys cab companies can allow police to read everything he said to the President of the USA and to TV personalities?

Hannity has just denied on air he didn’t “retain” or pay cohen. but he had consultations that induced attorney client privilege. he should have disclosed this when he started covering stories with Cohen in them. Unethical behavior. May be minor, but is unethical.

Are you journalist covering a story with your attorney involved?

‘Represented’ has a legal meaning. Looks to me like the headline is unethical. Informal advice is not ‘representation’.

Agreed. This was not Sean’s smartest move.

He admits to getting legal advice from a guy who is major player in a story he covers everyday. For a journalist to not disclose that, is unethical. He has to be considerate of the reception of bias and corruption.

Maybe Mueller asked for the raid on Cohen’s office hoping to force Sean Hannity’s TV program off the air. (If he knew about the Cohen-Hannity connection.)

Oh holy shoot. No one wants your lawyers’ files on you in the hands of your enemies (the deep state). This whole thing just sucks.

Hannity should sue government for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Attorneys should not be made to say who else they work for!

Sean keeps saying no third party involvement. That isn’t the issue. The issue is he used the attorney’s services and so do there Sean covers everyday. That triggers the need to disclose. Not the mentioning of third parties.

The government obviously has acquired attorney client info between Hannity and Cohen.

It is so ridiculous. Someone go check to see if that old piece of parchment is still under protected glass in DC. You know, that Consti- something.

Actually, I think I remember Sean stating that Cohen was indeed his personal lawyer whenever he had Michael Cohen on his FNC show as a guest.

Sean always said something like: "In full disclosure, Michael Cohen does legal work for me."

Does it, though? Does a journalist ethically have to reveal he used “x” services he is reporting on? For instance would a reporter have to say she used Planned Parenthood when reporting outside it? Would a male journalist reporting on the Ashley Madison scandal have to admit in public that he was HotRod73 on there?

Hannity isn’t a “journalist,” whatever that is.
