Further Excerpts from James Comey’s book, If the Existing ones are Anything to Go On
The Washington Post ^ | April 13, 2018 | Alexandra Petri

Posted on 04/16/2018 9:14:25 AM PDT by Cecily

In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God, and then, on Dec. 14, 1960, I, James Comey, was born. The initials, as Reinhold Niebuhr would tell us, are no coincidence.

I have been called a human humblebrag. I certainly couldn’t speak to the truth of that statement, except to say that where I come from, we don’t like bullies and their mean words. Bullies are mean and small, not like myself (I stand 6-foot-8, with a head of lush dark hair and eyes that pierce into the souls of everyone I encounter, like the eyes of a hawk who has read Reinhold Niebuhr (I wrote my thesis on Reinhold Niebuhr.)).

Comey is even more self-righteous and egotistical than the Hildabeast, and maybe even more than Obozo, the King of the Self-Worshippers.

No. The author of the article is parodying Comey’s book.

That made me chuckle. Can’t believe that the Washington Compost would actually publish this, as it demonstrates that liberals have a sense of humor.

(For those who tend not to read anything beyond the FR summary, the article is a parody of Comey’s memoirs.)

Comey is winning. He is not in jail, right?

“Comey is winning. He is not in jail, right?”

Like OJ?

At least they took OJ’s book “winnings”.

This is really one of the funniest and most accurate parodies I have ever read. I’m a little surprised that it appeared in the Washington Post, but that just shows you how embarrassing the odious Comey and his smarmy book must be even to people who probably fundamentally agree with him.

It’s truly worth reading (saying this for those folks who just hit the headline and move on).

Perhaps the compost editors didn’t recognize the parody.

Many others, even here, don’t immediately catch the satire that is all too often reality lately...

"I have been called a human humble brag."

Sounds like a creature from Harry Potter. Perfect for somebody who lives in a fantasy world.

The Washington Post boys have the same superior attitude toward the 'great unwashed' that Comey has... maybe that's why he makes them so uncomfortable. Is this so close it hurts Alexandra Petri ?

I didn't catch it because I can actually see him writing that.

One of those cases where parody and satire are indistinguishable from the “real” thing.

He must have spent those silent moments staring at Obama’s Mole, wishing he had one too.
