WASHINGTON — The United States and European allies launched strikes against Syrian targets, President Trump announced on Friday, seeking to punish President Bashar al-Assad for a suspected chemical attack near Damascus that killed more than 40 people.
Mr. Trump said Britain and France had joined the United States in the strikes, which he said were underway.
“These are not the actions of a man. They are crimes of a monster instead,” Mr. Trump, in a televised nighttime address from the White House Diplomatic Room, said of the Syrian attacks last weekend that he blamed on Mr. Assad.
He said the strikes of precision weapons sought to deter the production, spread and use of chemical weapons, which he called “a vital national security interest of the United States.”

The underlying message to the world: Russian and Iranian promises to protect you mean NOTHING. If the United States wants to use its military power, no country on earth can stop it. Live and learn. Not only is Syria a big loser tonight but Russia nearly as much so. Their boasts and brags about shooting us down apparently were nothing but talk. Bad news for them on the world stage.
There goes the stock market and the gains. Gold is going up fast. Shift is going to get pucker like the weekend. I’m too old for service.
Damascus must become a ruinous heap and “they” need to start saying “peace and security”. Then the end will come.

Agreed. Of course we’re all afraid of this sort of thing, but remember that 5 US nuclear-armed subs can dominate the entire globe. And we have like 18 of them.
The US military force is way, way more than anyone or group of nations can threaten.
If Trump does this, I believe him. This is too much to derail what he’s been doing.
I know there are people out there talking about false flags, but we’re fighting muslims who are making NK, Iran and Russia more powerful.
Have we forgotten how corrupt these countries are ? Have we forgotten how much they want us all dead ? I think so.
The Russian people may not have a beef with us, but Putin isn’t just the leader of Russia. He’s the richest man on the planet because he uses the military to take over entire industries. Putin is not our friend.

But if the “explosions in Damascus” were really us, I guess that means that the russians couldn’t “Shoot (our) missiles out of the sky” like they said they would.
