I think Comey's exaggerating. Just why he would, though, isn't clear.
Scoring what he thinks is a point against Trump must be more important to him than keeping up the macho G-man image. But then Comey never actually was an FBI agent.

So the Snowflake era started with James Comey’s childhood. A guy this big should have been the bully, and not the kid getting wedgies or the grown man in a powerful government position hiding behind curtains to avoid the president.
