Fox News Insider ^ | April 12, 2018

The Newport Beach city council voted unanimously earlier this week to challenge California's sanctuary law, joining a dozen other cities that are not interested in complying with the sanctuary policies.

It's the third city in the past two days to take such action, joining about a dozen others in recent weeks.

Interesting how once you eliminate the massively illegal San Francisco and Los Angeles voting blocks there are plenty of rational thinkers in California.

I consider California’s deliberately engineered illegal alien voting epidemic to be a matter of national security. The actual citizen voters of the state are being disenfranchised and deserve better.

Surprised to not see the “conservative” cities of Northern California joining in this revolt against an illegal state law. Guess they must be dragging their feet.

Odd, they are all around LA. Is the rest of CA fine with giving a pass to these criminals?

“The actual citizen voters of the state are being disenfranchised and deserve better.”

Considering that most of the actual citizens of the state are A-OK with pandering to illegals to gain their illegal ‘Rat votes, I’d dispute them deserving better, but I understand your point.

Agreed, with all the people in the north supporting their own state for years you’d think they’d jump on this movement.

“Interesting how once you eliminate the massively illegal San Francisco and Los Angeles voting blocks there are plenty of rational thinkers in California.”

What is still surprising to me is the fact that the NorCal and Central Valley Counties have not already joined in in this effort. We live in Contra Costa County and even our sheriff has indicated that he is supporting ICE detainers and will not abide the new State Law that says he’s not supposed to cooperate with the Federal Government. We had dinner with a friend a couple of nights ago who used to be our Chief of Police. He told us that the CA Sheriff’s are pretty much all against the new law ( only in places like SF, where the “sheriff” is a queer woman with no LE experience do you find support). By Federal Law, County Sheriff’s are supposed to be the supreme local LE authority and not subject to any “regulation” by the State.

No, we are not fine with giving a pass to the criminals. We are in LA county, NOT the beach but more inland. LA downtown, San Fran and the Bay Area - they are packed with illegals, packed with homeless, packed with folks on the dole and government workers, and all the liberals’ fantasies are at work there. Also Sacramento.

The rest of us are normal folks, trying to make a living, tearing our hair about the near-coup in Sacramento led by Moonbeam and Eric Holder. If you look closely, you will see that the libs’ vision is to pack the big cities in this way, across the country, so the more sparsely populated areas have no voice. They like it like that.

Now they need to posh big signs on roads into their cities - WARNING - WE ARE NOT A SANCTUARY CITY, AND IF YOU ARE IN THIS NATION ILLEGALLY - WE WILL TURN YOU OVER TO IMMIGRATION.

“Considering that most of the actual citizens of the state are A-OK with pandering to illegals to gain their illegal ‘Rat votes, I’d dispute them deserving better, but I understand your point.”

How can we even tell what “most of the actual citizens” are A-OK with when their votes are being diluted by millions of Left-leaning illegals?

Of course even if the majority of California’s citizens want open borders they don’t get to make that decision for the other 49 states. Immigration enforcement is one of those few things that really does belong in the hands of the Federal government.
