House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said Tuesday that he will seek to "impeach" FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein if they decline to hand over the document used to launch the FBI's probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in 2016.
"I can tell you that we're not going to just hold in contempt, we will have a plan to hold in contempt and impeach," Nunes said on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle."
Asked by the show's host, Laura Ingraham, if he was serious about impeaching Wray, Nunes replied: "Absolutely."
Nunes appeared exacerbated on Tuesday with the FBI's refusal to turn over to the intelligence committee an unredacted version of the two-page document used to justify the law enforcement investigation into the Trump campaign's contacts with Moscow.
The New York Times reported in December that the investigation was launched after U.S. officials received a tip that George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign adviser, had been told that Moscow had damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
That report contradicted claims by several Republican lawmakers that the FBI probe was based on a controversial opposition research dossier authored by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele.
Steele's work was commissioned by the private research firm Fusion GPS, which was paid indirectly by the Clinton campaign.
Nunes vowed on Tuesday to get the document from the FBI, and set a Wednesday night deadline for it to be handed over.
"We are going to get the document. We are going to get the two pages," he said. "So they can either cough them up now, or it will get really complicated starting tomorrow night, and we'll have to take all the steps necessary in order to get the document."
He spelled impeach wrong. The correct spelling is F-I-R-E-D.
When the FBI wants something they just kick down doors and steal it. Try that instead of babbling all day about something that will never happen.

Praying that good, patriotic and strong men in DC see clearly the clear and present danger to our great America, have grown bigger cajones and stiffer spines, and will now counter-attack without mercy.
Trump needs to issue a “you shall comply “ order. If they do not comply with the lawful order of the chief executive con earning a demand of an equal branch of government, he will be compled to fire.
Enough of the Trey Gowdy-esque posturing... Just say what the consequence will be - and then follow-through IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise, it’s more theatrics that doesn’t serve the Republic.
Apparently, when the Deep State wants something that will damage President Trump, they have no problem at all kicking in doors and taking what they want. However, when it comes finding documents that exonerate the President ... well, that’s another issue.
Good. If congress impeaches Wray and Rosenstein, it’s far better than if Trump fires them.
What else can Nunes do.
People at these high government positions have large ego’s.
Even if impeachment fails, it is a stain on their record.
And history will record that stain.
Plus it would give Trump a reason for firings
if he so chooses.
I like him he is just not a fighter..
Voters need to wake up and realize our very own Party is working with the other Party...It is past time to clean house..

Hardly. A 24 hour request to comply is not business at usual. What is going on here is Nunes is threatening Ryan with nuclear war. Don’t underestimate him. He’s taken more nukes for us than anybody inside the beltway save POTUS and keeps on fighting like the big dog does.
