Sessions doesn’t seem very bright. After all, he was a US Senator.

Looks like he comes from low white trash. White trash can be clever, crafty and maybe even wise but not often very bright.

32 Never understood how things could have gone so wrong with this man. Was he a poor choice made by Trump or was he a swamp creature from the deepest depths?

It seems to me that Trump never had an effective kitchen cabinet to bring with him to the WH. Trump was always a political outsider and sadly it shows.

Carter brought his Georgia mafia with him (not that it was effective).

Reagan brought his political connections.

Just saying.

Sessions has to go. Magoo can’t play even checkers or marbles.

What the timing. I think there’s a US senate recess at the end of April and again around Memorial Day.

I thought that when Trump expressed his extreme disappointment with Magoo for the 10th time or so, Trump was on the verge of looking into the camera and blurting out “you’re fired Sessions”. It might go down just like that.

Now that Mueller has raided Trump’s lawyer, who’s going to want to represent Trump? That’s one reason why Mueller did this.

...Trump's nationally broadcast press interview.

Geez, did I miss something important today? Real quick - what did the President say that bears on this discussion?

TIA

"Levin has not been “never-Trump” for quite a long time. He is a total convert."

I do not think Levin has EVER been "a never trumper", its just that Trump wasnt his first choice and he was skeptical, as was I, Levin is a CONSTITUTIONALIST first and foremost, and Levin is righteously angry as I myself am.

i dont think Levin is defending Trump he is more interested in defending the constitution and civilized society

These swampers are degrading the constitution, usurping constitutional authority, using positions of power to commit acts of sedition. The entire congress is guilty as well.

They think they are some sort of monarchs and piss on us citizens. We the people are just subordinate subjects in their virtual oligarchy .

CASE IN POINT : why is Obamacare NOT repealed yet NO ONE wants it NO ONE , not even the entitlement bums who pretend they do ....our Congress is disgusting, and the executive branch is infested with swamp rats, and the judicial branch is completely off the rails just making stuff up like some sort of insane renaisance poets

Think about what you know, what we all know about Trump. He isn’t squeamish about firing people. Yet he hasn’t fired Sessions.

There’s a reason for that.

Patience folks.

Yep. He was.

He even went so far, during the height of his never-Trumpism days, to call FR Trump supporters derogatory names.

He seems to mostly have come around, though, so that’s a good thing.

As we all should be

Napolitano was blathering on anout subpoenas and probable cause. I say based on on the FoJ and FBI willingness to lie and obfuscate even in court to withhold information and use bad information I believe nothing that comes out of those two agencies

Bongino still defending him?

IMO, one possibility is that Sessions has been placating R insiders in order to stay in place for as long as possible. It is very possible Bongino is plugged into that network.

Arguably, Sessions would want to stay in place either because he had a role in the anti-Trump agenda or, as rdcbn and I thought possible, he was serving in good faith at Trump's pleasure.

Without one or the other, he could have left of his own volition some time ago for any reason. It just doesn't seem plausible that he would want Trump to embarrass him nationally as a cover for his resignation.

As I argued a few months ago after his sad appearance before the House/Senate(?) it appears he is more than ready for his retirement.

Now they are using syria to tie him up

I'm confident Trump is able to multi task. In fact everything known about Trump says this and most 10 years younger than Trump could never keep up with him. If Trump can't do it no one can. I can assure you no one else in D.C. would do anything but line their own pockets. The career establishment insiders never had any intention of changing anything. It's why they hate Trump. When ya got it made, you don't want anyone rocking the boat.

There’s a reason he hasn’t fired Sessions, but it’s probably the obvious one: he has been told both publicly and privately that firing Sessions or Mueller will cause a major crisis in the Senate. There may be no better alternatives now, but it would definitely be a showdown in Congress.

Well when you’ve lost Mark Levin.....

I think if anyone would be likely to know if Sessions was up to some crafty “white hat” plan here it would be someone like Levin. The fact that Levin has given up on Sessions does not bode well for any of the Sessions defenders, or for our country.

Remember, Linda and a few other repulsive senators have threatened to impeach Trump if he fires Mueller. I say the senate cant impeach anybody.
