Russian U.N. Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia said on Monday that Moscow has warned the United States of “grave repercussions” if it carries out an attack against Syrian government forces over reports of a deadly chemical weapons attack.

“There was no chemical weapons attack,” Nebenzia told the U.N. Security Council.

“Through the relevant channels we already conveyed to the U.S. that armed force under mendacious pretext against Syria – where, at the request of the legitimate government of a country, Russian troops have been deployed - could lead to grave repercussions,” he said.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told the council that Washington “will respond” to the attack on a rebel-held town in Syria regardless of whether the United Nations Security Council acts or not.

If a country choses to implement John McCain’s foreign policy, then gets itself nuked, I guess I would just “shrug”.

Screw Syria. Screw the entire Middle East.

All forces come home immediately to deal with domestic enemies.

The war is here at home. There is no foreign threat of any magnitude close to the threat from within.

Anyone, other than Neocons, know of a MOTIVE as to why Syria would use chemicals, since the war is virtually over?

Hard for me to think of one.

This was a false flag- suddenly chemical attack after Trump announces pull out. I bet McCain called his Muslim buddies to stage this attack.

I suspect you have never been a grunt. That’s clearly in a classroom or cleaning room, and his rifle is fieldstripped.
Looking down the bore of a stripped rifle during cleaning sessions is pretty normal... but you wouldn’t know that, would you?

The economist Peter Zeihen explains in this video why we are seeing the middle east blowing up.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feU7HT0x_qU

North America is now energy independent, and will soon loose all interest what happens in the middle east. The only thing to keep us in the middle east is our alliance with Japan. ie protect Japan’s oil supply.

It also explains why the Saudi’s are playing nice. If we leave the middle east, Iran and the Saudi’s are be going to war....

It also explains why the Russians are so aggressive. Russia’s population is aging quickly, and the Russian army could shrink by 1/2 in the next 5 to 10 years.

Agreed. We should have never been in Syria to begin with.

That’s not even wrong.

I strongly doubt the incident happened as reported.

Even if it did, I see no reason the US needs to be involved at all.

Why should we care if someone is killed via chemical weapons vs. conventional weapons? Dead is dead.

The only reason to pursue the chemical weapons angle is to justify another insane intervention where we don’t belong and where we will never be able to get out.

Not. Our. Job.

A lot of people think Trump’s announcement of withdrawal was a “feint”.

Tucker ain’t buying the neocon “lets do war in Syria” BS.

The left and RINOs are all in for war.

I myself do not believe any gas attack happened.
