Nor did I ever connect the dots but then we’ve been inundated with so much BS over our lives....and getting worse by the day. We had a lot to hate obozo for that this simply wasn’t picked up by our radar...Who among us would ever have dreamed that we’d be stuck with someone like him as the president of our country?
To me, that was like reading the ingredients on something you have been eating mindlessly for a long time, and seeing an extremely unpalatable ingredient.
Well put...makes me wonder where we’d be if we hadn’t been taught the way we were many years ago by our parents and teachers. We weren’t in indoctrination centers in the’40’s/’50’s...we believed in our leaders and in the country. Is that why it’s such a surprise and disappointment to us today to learn how rotten it’s been for so long? I don’t like that feeling but don’t know how else to put it...
Yes. We have been lied to, and about, for decades.
When I was in school, there was never any time I felt I was being “indoctrinated” unless you count respect for the flag and what it represents as indoctrination...which I don’t. And school didn’t impress that on me, my parents and peers did.
Funny...I have been a conservative my whole life, with some blips on the way. I grew up in a military family, and I viewed the left with much the same disdain at the age of 11 or 12 that I do now. I hated the Left for they way they portrayed men like my dad, and the dads of all my friends...at best as losers who were incapable of being successful in the civilian world, and at worst, evil war-mongering butchers.
The real twist for me was when I got older and I realized how the left (including the media and people like Walter Cronkite) had lied to us and tried to mislead us, from the media to the education system on a variety of subjects. It has made me pretty angry.
And then an issue like this, a seemingly minor one that I never even gave much of a second thought to, only to realize that even though I hadn’t, the Left clearly had, and this subject of McKinley was not an innocuous footnote in history to them. I felt somehow taken advantage of.
I stopped calling these communists liberals a long time ago.

Clearly, there is a problem with Democrats and guns.
Not one NRA member, Tea Party member, or Republican conservative was involved in any of these shootings and murders.
SOLUTION:
It should be illegal for Democrats to own guns.
We don’t need gun control, we need Democrat control.
It is convinced that if it can rewrite history, it will write the future.
It does this, as everything else, through lies, special pleading, hysterical outrage, self-righteous threats and finally the inevitable violence.
And if they get their way, they will bully us, enslave us, kill us and finally erase us from history.

Yeah, but they forget one "little" thing. We fight back....harder....while they try to figure out which bathroom to use.
