"“Why did you wait?” the president asked, according to the Washington Post, after being shown a video of an earlier strike in Syria by the ISIS-fighting spooks."

According to the Compost makes this beyond fake news.

This is BS posing as fake news, is just another example of where our 4th Estate is.

The Fourth Estate (or fourth power) is a segment of society that wields an indirect but significant influence on society even though it is not a formally recognized part of the political system. The most commonly recognized part of the fourth estate is the news media, or press.

The truth is that by waiting they could have missed their primary target.

Read youir Bible! Yehova ordered the annihilation of entire nations.

Trump isn't God.

As far as the Bible goes, deliberately killing a child when it can be avoided violates the sixth commandment.

.
You’re confused.

The first commandment over-rides misinterpretation of the others.

Obeying Yehova’s demand that a nation be completely annihilated, including their livestock does not violate any commandment.

America has not fought a war since WWII. The era of the American “Police Action”,abuse of War Powers and all of the other Presidential misadventures and abuse of our military is a disgrace.

So, you think God appeared to Trump and told him to change our rules of engagement to actively target children?

When the Patriot Act was passed, I thought it did little to confront the problem, but was great as trading some more liberty for a sense of security. Terrorism is an idea, not a military force. To destroy ideas, you have to attack them in the brains of wanna be terrorists.

Russia’s KGB came closest to what is needed to defeat terrorism. You must make the consequences of acts of terror so swift, devastating, and yes, terrifying that the notion of committing a terrorist act dies in the mind before it can even be expressed. You wanna be a suicide bomber? Does that include what will happen afterwards?

The KGB would wipe out the perpetrator’s family, his neighbors, and his whole damned village. Civilian casualties were part of the methodology. Ruthless, pitiless, eyes-wide-open disaster. That’s how you defeat an idea.

But a nation who recoils from and defines water boarding as torture, may be too compassionate to survive.

Straight up leak from Brennan.

It wouldn't upset me if he took down the names of the people who would have been within earshot of the (alleged) comment, shake them down and polygraph them, and then begin firing them, one-by-one. Treasonous to the core, this deepstate bunch.

Our culture has transformed radically in the past 30 years, and not for the better.

Respect for due process, and 4th Amendment rights in general, died here on 9/11. A quick search reveals that there was plenty of support for the extrajudicial murder of Abdulrahman Al-Awlaki (and also your honorable objections to it, kudos).

cut me some slack on this one - but - since I was young, I never understood the Why that God instructed Israel in different cases to wipe out everyone, Men, Women, Children, livestock. I didn’t doubt God, or His Goodness, knowing that He judges everyone for their own decision justly in His presence - even though it’s not nicey nice for us.

But, it hit me after seeing Taken 2 - don’t laugh. Yes I had seen other revenge movies/stories - but just the way the muslim father and relatives went after Liam Neilson for killing the son, I more understood that the poison attitude that could be part of someone as they continued to live and got older - would be a constant threat to Israel.

Oh wait- those were the children living in the house with the Yemeni
al Qaeda terrorist cell ( men and women) killed during a night special forces raid that seized al Qaeda terrorist planning materials

The children were NOT targeted, but were caught in crossfire or deliberately used as shields

BIG DIFFERENCE

The guilty, in all cases of criminal activity, including terrorism, should be judged by the standards they themselves employ, in the name of diversity and sensitivity to their cultural standards.

There's a philosophy that says there's nothing sacred about human life, and therefore no absolute or binding reason why we shouldn't intentionally kill blameless human beings if there is a really good reason.

This philosophy brought us both mass abortion and indiscriminate acts of war, including reprisals against civilians. It is about as directly anti-God as you can be in this world.

That said, I am not a pacifist. Nothing I said above excludes just and well-targeted acts of force, including lethal force, to stop aggressors.
