If a target can be eliminated without causing collateral damage then I think said target should be eliminated without causing collateral damage. I do not support targeting individuals who are not on the CIA's "hit-list" nor do I support taking a "kill them all let God sort them out" approach (although I retain my right to joke about it).
With that said, if a target cannot be gotten to without taking out some of his family/friends/neighbors then we need to do what we need to do - opportunities to kill dangerous terrorists should not be wasted.
Finally, I want to note that in the above scenarios I am referring to drone strikes, not actual combat. Our Soldiers and Marines need to be able to operate without being second-guessed at every turn when they are actually on the ground fighting the enemy face-to-face.

During the last Drone strike on Osama Bin Labin, Before 9/11, Clinton failed to OK the hit because Osama’s Family was in the building. If he had OKed the strike 3,000 American’s with Children, would be alive today.

Normally I’d be appalled. If we were talking about the uniformed soldiers of another country who obeyed the terms of the Geneva Convention, I’d be dead set against it. But that’s not who we’re dealing with. We are dealing with an enemy that not only does not hesitate to deliberately target civilians but which goes out of its way to do so.
Y’know it might be a bit less attractive to be a goat effer if you knew your entire family would pay the price for it when we tracked you down.
