Minister Calls for Israel to Recognize Armenian Genocide

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to recognize the mass murders of 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman government in 1915 as genocide.

In the past, the Foreign Ministry had assessed that such a move was likely to lead to the expulsion of Israeli Embassy staff in Ankara and the recalling of Turkey’s ambassador from Israel.

While Turkey denies that the mass killings constitute genocide, some 29 countries and 48 of the 50 U.S. states have officially recognized them as such.

Erdan’s call to recognize the Armenian genocide follows a war of words between Netanyahu and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in which Erdoğan has accused Israel of using “disproportionate force” against the “peaceful protesters” during the March 30 Hamas-orchestrated march in the Gaza Strip.

He later called Israel a “terrorist state.”

I learned that alongside Lithuania, Armenia is noted to have the highest concentration of anti-Semitism in the former Soviet space.

But in California anyway, there are huge concentrations of Armenian and Jewish immigrants — and they often collaborate together on Genocide/Holocaust awareness projects and causes.

I sure political reasons have prevented the Israels from recognizing the Armenian genocide

Yes, I live in the midst and the two pops get along very well. The Armenians here are some of the stronger Christians. Russians too.

God explicitly says how this ALL goes down in the Old and New Testaments. . .it is just a matter of time. . .His Time and it just may be sooner than one thinks.

Turkey is basically an empire made up of conquered nations, punctuated with a few genocides for emphasis. It is sort of like Hitler pointing his finger accusing others of atrocities.

It’s only been 103 years since these murders, I think it’s about TIME!

I spent a couple of years in Turkey during my military career. There is nothing wrong with Turkey! Other than dreadfully hot summers it is a wonderful place. The Turkish people however is a totally different story. Until I became familiar with the Turks I did not beleive any nationality could possibly beat the French when it came to being the absolute dregs of the human gene pool. So like Obama’s rescue of Jimmy Cater from being forever labeled as America’s worse president so too did the Turks save the French from my forever labeling them as the excrement of human society.
