The number of Salafists in Germany has increased twofold since 2013, the interior ministry said Wednesday, surpassing Decembers all-time high.
The number of individuals classified as Salafists by regional authorities in state offices for the Protection of the Constitution reached 11,000, the ministry said, confirming an earlier report from German newspaper Tagesspiegel.
Five years ago, the German intelligence agency BfV placed this number at 5,500 half of the current total.
Salafism is a fundamentalist Islamic ideology. Security authorities see Salafism as a potential entry point to Islamist terrorism.
Just under 5 million Muslims live in Germany, meaning that the current number of Salafists makes up roughly 0.22 percent of Germanys total Muslim population.
Security figures pointed out that while the rate of growth of the Salafist scene had slowed, stagnation or even a reduction was not yet in sight, Tagesspiegel said.

Yep , Germany is ruined. WE all know this.
They did it to themselves. They had it too good.
Nobody really cares about Germany.
Send them back. Pack them in shipping containers if need be and airmail them to Turkey.

Russia cares nothing for “Western civilization” any more than the EU does. And with all due respect, I don’t know if you’re referring to something not based on US norms by that term.
And there will be a turnaround in Europe, although the press doesn’t make it evident even yet.
I agree with you about Europe. Some here don't. The Euroweenies have a long and sordid history. When they get mad millions can die.
And don’t discount the frogs. They can get mean when they are pushed. I don’t agree with the cheese eating surrender monkey stuff about them. What happened to them in WWII is more complex than people want to believe.
The long wars between them and the English testify to that.
And the causalities in that long war was nothing compared to the casualties in that relatively short war (WWI).
