True statement. Muslims first invaded Byzantine Sicily in 652 AD (two decades after Muhammad finally died). Those invading thugs successfully conquered Spain in 711 AD, remaining for more than 200 years and briefly expanding by force into southern France. Their biggest push (until the present invasion) was the invasion by the Ottoman Empire, from the 1300s to the 1600s. They are, like the plague, part of our history. The difference is that the plague is not being intentionally invited back in as a guest.
