Better this is resolved on Mexican soil and that horde is flown back to Honduras with our support

But more of it has been handed over willingly by corrupt politicians in both parties.
These fatherless bas***ds are elected to represent American citizens.
But when they get to Washington DC they promote themselves to Citizens of the World and become great humanitarians.
Then they represent the interests of everyone except the citizens on the US who pay their salaries.
First they extort money from us as taxes under the penalty of fines and incarceration.
Then they hand it to every third-world grifter, illegal, murderer, dope dealer and America-hating punk they can find.
After that they give themselves awards and dinners (on the taxpayers money), pat each other on the back, and name parks, buildings and bridges for themselves.
Because after all, aren't they great humanitarians for giving away so much taxpayer money.
If the military cannot be used to defend our own borders, why have them?
To protect other countries?

Trump’s approach to this, in my opinion, should be to emphasize the responsibility of the Mexican government to use their great natural resources and talented/motivated population to make their country a place from which people don’t want to leave.
He should emphasize that the real human rights tragedy is that people feel compelled to leave their country of birth, illegally enter another country, and put their lives and the lives of their children at risk crossing deserts, hiding in the back of trucks, and trusting people who take their money but who don’t ensure their safety as they are illegally smuggled across borders.
He should emphasize that it is way too often corrupt people within governments who are responsible for misery - while they lead lives many standard deviations above the comfort of the people they are supposed to be serving. He should then ding the Democrats on this, pointing out that they support people putting their lives at risk to illegally cross borders, because they selfishly see political gains for themselves in this happening - irrespective of those who suffer and/or die because of this.
He should point out, using Venezuela as an example, how socialism is used as a tool by the corrupt in government, who ultimately use it to cement their own power, while depriving the population of their God given right to improve their own lives through their own efforts.
In short, he should point out the truth that illegal immigrants are being used as pawns by those who stand to gain from this cynical abuse of power.
If they get on US soil and ask for asylum, the stupid US border laws require they be allowed to stay until a hearing is concluded. Of course, they never show up to the hearing.
They can’t be detained because of catch and release laws.
So the President is correct as usual. US laws do not protest against an invasion of drugs and illegals.
If there was a Wall, 95%+ of these invaders would never reach US soil. Border Patrol says walls work. Yes, they do, in more ways than one.
Mexico has an effective fence on their southern border.
They let these people into Mexico.
They are Mexico’s problem if we can keep them out of the US.
Every available resource needs to be deployed to prevent their entry.
Once they get in they will be given court dates and released into the USA never to be seen again until they kill someone.
There are MILLIONS of seniors coming in as LEGAL immigrants, and all get those benefits.
