Police in Georgia arrested a Lilburn minister as well as his wife and two sons taking them into custody after a brawl broke out in front of their church, the group disarmed one officer and pushed another against a wall.

Shortly after arriving and finding the missing teen in the back of a vehicle with the son of Minister Wilmer Cruz, The Lilburn PD were surrounded by the local minister, his wife, and their two sons and the group moved in on the officers.
Realizing they were greatly outnumbered, one of the officers drew his Taser, only to have it taken from him by Cristina Cruz, who then tried to resist being arrested after the taser was retrieved.
At one point, an officer tried to Taser the son who had attacked the officer, but the son grabbed the prongs and wrapped them up, one of the sons got hold of the Police radio after the officer dropped it, which he threw to the ground after being instructed to do so.
One of the officers was then rushed and pushed against a glass door.
“The officer was grabbed by his throat and slammed into the glass, pinned up to the glass door and was unable to move at that point,” Lt. Tim Allen with the Lilburn Police Department said.

IMHO, he would have been well within his rights to blow their heads off especially when the two guys pinned him against the glass door.
Watch out for those preachers named Cruz.
And their sons.
A few K-9 teams at full boil full leash and full bite would have demanded some respect.
I hope the courts lock them up for a very long time.
I bet the next time any LEO shows up at that address half the on duty officers will be backing them up.
I have waded through several hostile gathering like this with a big nasty dog. I have watched with humor as the they went from big and bad and turned tail and ran when the dog fired up.
Big mouths until they had to deal with my dog then the coward side instantly appeared.
Dog the hell out of them then search their Church and cars with the bomb and dope dogs.
Looks like it was a hispanic church. Should get some deportations out of this.

I think a pair of Border Patrolmen might have had less trouble taking control. Those two local cops need to go back to the academy and do some sparring.
One of the family friends is on the Lilburn PD page claiming that a copy of incident was sent to DOJ claiming civil rights violations or some such thing.

Big mistake not having sufficient backup here. As long as the minor girl was not taken from the area, they should have waited until they had sufficient numbers to take complete control of the situation. The idiot with the Taser needs some training. I noted that he started to go for his gun, then got his pepper spray, so at least he still had some measure of self-control.
They definitely could have used more help from the police. If they were Mexican as some here believe, why were the women wearing long dresses and head apparel? I didn’t think anyone sounded Hispanic...definitely foreign but what??
That woman was taken to the ground, handcuffed and then left to stand and roam around with her handcuffs on....Was that the Pastor’s (or whatever) wife? Sure a lot of screaming going on and absolutely no respect for law enforcement...which indicates “foreigners.”

That’s confusing - who sent a copy of it to the DOJ - the police or the people causing the disturbance? If the latter, why on the Lilburn PD page?

I’m sorry. On the Lilburn PD Facebook page the story was posted. A person commented claiming a copy had been sent to DOJ by the people causing the disturbance.
Cops showed great restraint against active resistance. Christian church supposed to respect authorities as believe it or not as being put there by God. He is in control y’now. Also dont be known as a striker..
Bumping a cop would be striking in my book. Plus possible kidnapping...church needs to be investigated...possibly a front for human trafficking..or drug trafficking or prostitution..resistance like that doesnt come from simple investigation into whereabouts of a teen girl unless something is very bad somewhere. Kudos for cops not blasting one of them into eternity.
According to WSB radio report, the mother of the girl who they were trying to rescue says that the girl is pregnant by one of the preacher’s sons.

Resistance to authority is why we have the 2nd Amendment.
