Mr. Bergoglio is going to go to Hell.

I wish he would disappear right now.

A question for all Catholic schools: Would you hire this man to teach theology? If this man were already teaching theology, would you let him continue doing so?

Wow, this destroys the curse of "Go to Hell!" Now we have to say, "Die and disappear."

Bishop Robert Barron’s take on this is that in Hell souls would be without God. Just cut off into an arguably permanent state of conscious isolation from God’s good graces and all they may afforded that individual.

That would be Hell.

Denying the eternal nature of the human soul solves the problem of Hell. But it is a childish position that does not correspond to reality.

Need a little more evidence. I distinguish faith from science.

Is that the answer you will give to Jesus Christ when He comes to judge the living and the dead? Are you going to tell Him that you simply have no faith in things unseen or that you have not stored up for yourself any treasures in the spiritual realm? Charity, hope, faith, justice, virtue, courage, these are all spiritual quantities. Does someone else have to prove to you that they exist?

“Need a little more evidence. I distinguish faith from science.”

I have faith and i know science and I understand the difference. You don’t seem to. I don’t think God wants you to be ignorant.

What is the evidence for Faith? That is, what is the proof for articles of Faith? Isn’t that what you are asking? For example, if the existence of Hell is an article of Faith, need there be anything prior to it? If there were something prior to it, why would you call it “faith”?

Faith is knowledge that proceeds from divinely revealed first principles. Natural science is knowledge that proceeds from first principles known intuitively by the light of natural reason. Both Faith and the Natural Sciences are “science””, but they proceed from different first principles, one set being gifted to us in Baptism, and the other being gifted to us [the image and likeness of God] when we were created.
