History Channel had an interesting series on last night called “The Men Who Made America.”
One of the segments was about Davy Crockett moving to Texas and the beginning of Texans rebelling against Mexican rule.
Presidente Santa Anna responded by sending troops to confiscate Texan’s weapons.
Remember the Alamo!
Hmmm...years later the Clinton/Reno government did the same thing at Waco.
>
How do they figure that they can succeed at getting illegal aliens to give up their illegal firearms?
>
Govt can’t keep ‘contraband’ out of PRISONS for F* sake, what are they going to do w/ some piping, nails and time from the local Home Depot or Mr. Garage w/ a shop full of equipment and a few blocks of aluminum and steel?
What, there’s not enough info on YouTube alone to how to fabricate, smith, load, etc. that makes nearly any ‘law’ useless??
They must think otherwise ‘law-abiding’ citizens AREN’T arming themselves in these gun-grabbing enclaves, if they feel it necessary?? (Better ask forgiveness...) R-I-G-H-T.
That’s spokesPERSON, you sexist jerk!
;^)
I joined the NRA 2 weeks ago, for the first time.
The Hitler Youth kids need a serious wuppin. Just saying.
This is what an America-hating, snowflake slut looks like. If she wants to be a Cuban communist, ICE needs to make sure she gets a ticket back to her beloved Cuba. The same place her refugee parents escaped from communism back in 1968. It’s a good thing she shaved her head. She needs to get a little more sunlight and oxygen to her brain. When America want a little Cuban sexual deviant to “change the world”, we’ll let her know.
NRA contributions TRIPLED!

From the Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico...
“It has demanded us to deliver up our arms, which are essential to our defence, the rightful property of freemen, and formidable only to tyrannical governments.”
British General GAGE in Boston did the same thing.

I want to know how much their membership increased
In all fairness, the great majority of illegal aliens still want firearms for the same reason citizens do, to protect themselves from violent criminals. On a similar note, non-violent ex-con former felons can sometimes petition for rights restoration in court, and the number one thing they want back is the right to have guns.
So the lesson from this is that a lot of people understand the vital importance of the 2nd Amendment, and if given the option would be more than happy to embrace it.
The Left always does this. They overreact and go over the top on every issue they touch. Sane people start tuning the gun-grabbers out.
Not only is the actual process of repealing the 2nd Amendment and confiscation guns very complicated and involved, but for practical matters, neither will ever happen.
Just as Obama was awarded the best salesmen of guns during his two terms, the Hogg kid and his cohorts will accomplish the same thing. The rest of the country moves away from them and towards guns and the 2nd Amendment.
These people do not understand "real" Americans.
Come and take it.
Parkland Gun Control Brownshirts, Fascists and Communists Driving Americans Toward the 2nd Ammendment.
That’s the point, let the left rant and rave about guns and it always backfires on them. Our immediate goal is to maintain the House and Senate.
NO ILLEGAL FIREARMS FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS!
From the periodical NRA mail, it appears that the NRA appreciates donations as small as $10, although a twenty would seem to be easy enough for most people. The NRA also sometimes sends an offer for a discounted fee for another year’s membership for members (e.g., $19.95 for another year). Currently, for new members, the NRA is offering freebies including a nice mini-duffel bag (looks like a good travel bag), a magazine subscription and a few other goodies.
Well, yes and no.
There have been several court decisions dating back more than a century that outline the rights of illegal aliens. They have freedom of speech and religion, and if arrested, a right to a Miranda warning. The Fifth Amendment, as well as the Fourteenth Amendment protects everyone from deprivation of life, liberty or property without due process of law.
U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1982 that non-citizen children must get a free K-12 education. However, illegal aliens cant vote in state and national elections. While defendants in criminal proceedings have a Sixth Amendment right to a government-appointed attorney if they are poor, that right doesnt extend to immigration court, where the violations are considered civil and not criminal.
To summarize: The courts say that illegal aliens are covered by the 1st Amendment, (ignore the 3rd-quartering of soldiers), the 4th, 5th, and part of the 6th, the 7th and 8th. And importantly, the 14th.
Yet they have *never* said that the 2nd Amendment applies to them. But this may change, like many of the others, because of the 14th Amendment.
In McDonald v. City of Chicago, justice Clarence Thomas wrote one of the most amazing concurrent opinions ever, not relying on the 2nd Amendment itself, but on the extremely powerful “Privileges or Immunities Clause” of the 14th Amendment to back the 2nd Amendment. His opinion was brilliant, very carefully documented, and utterly bulletproof.
And this raises the point: why should otherwise law abiding illegal aliens get all these other rights, but not the right to bear arms?
Which goes back to my original post, that the vast majority of illegal aliens are *not* violent criminals, and the reason they want guns is like everyone else, to protect themselves *against* violent criminals.
But if they are not violent criminals or felons, and have all the other “natural rights endowed by the Creator”, as far as the courts are concerned, why shouldn’t they have armed self defense?
As this stands, unless keeping them disarmed has a really good argument, as with criminal felons, it is just another form of gun control. So is it necessary?
