He must have been a heck of a shot, walking with his pants down and still hits his target.
He was beating Cadillacs and Subarus and he won’t stop....
Sounds like it may be suicide by cop, and hoping that his widow will reap a big payout.
One possibility is the officer had the gun in his hand and didn’t have time to get his Taser because the man kept approaching him without stopping.
Do crazy things, win crazy prizes.
So am I supposed to feel sympathy for a man who assaults people on the street with his pants down and then gets bagged?
So, do cops even carry nightsticks anymore? Tasers? If so, why?
Is a cop supposed to let a man, with his pants down, walk up to the cop and grab him, or is the cop allowed to shoot the man before being touched?
What’s the training?
Its probably more complicated than described in the article but refusing to “get on the ground” should not be a death sentence. Cops seem to think that they should not be exposed to any danger what so ever and departmental regulations seem to reinforce this.
Not a good shoot. The guy was clearly mentally disturbed but he wasn’t even naked, he had boxers on. No weapons of any kind, not holding anything in his hands, no place for officer to claim the victim was drawing a weapon, either. Prepare yourselves to cough it up Houston, you’re going to get your own pants sued off and don’t have a leg to stand on.
True Fact: black police statistically are three times as likely to shoot and kill a black suspect as a white cop is. Why? Because they’re exercising pure, undiluted common sense, whereas a white cop’s dread of a jury attaching racial motives to his decision causes him to second-guess his cop-sense, which usually results in granting undue leniency to a perp who just plain needed killing, and all to often ends with a well-meaning cop getting murdered.
The funeral director will make sure he is horizontal, with his pants up.
Hard to say. The guy had just violently shoved another guy and was aggressively walking toward the cop. I was surprised that a guy with his pants down around his ankles could walk so fast.
You have to be real here. The cop doesn’t know what exactly is going on.
There is a physical confrontation involving a guy with his pants down.
The suspect is not far away, advancing quickly on the officer.
The officer rightly draws his service weapon. (21 foot rule)
And you want the officer to holster his weapon and pull out his taser??? TOO LATE you could be DEAD!
Woulda, coulda, shoulda, but it does appear to be a righteous shoot.
there is no shame anymore...we allow everything..
how does that go...the accepted become the acceptable...
