(CNN)An Ohio fertility clinic says more than 4,000 eggs and embryos were affected by a freezer malfunction, double the number previously thought -- and that it's unlikely any of them are viable.

The University Hospitals Fertility Clinic also said about 950 families were affected by the storage tank failure earlier this month. At the time, the facility in Cleveland said it believed about 700 families were affected. In a letter sent to the families, dated Monday and obtained by CNN on Tuesday, University Hospitals said it was sharing the updated information with a "heavy heart." "The technical manner in which the eggs and embryos are stored in these freezers complicated our initial determination of how many patients and specimens were affected," the letter stated

We have just had one of the most tragic man made disasters in the United States killing thousands of humans and aside from this CNN article, the media is silent.

Even more silent of the Cleveland Police and prosecutor who appear to be doing nothing to arrest or convict those involved with murder and manslaughter,

"We don't know who turned off the remote alarm nor do we know how long it was off, but it appears to have been off for a period of time. We are still seeking those answers."

If the alarm was manually turned off and not malfunctioning, that suggests a reckless, irresponsible employee who either (1) engaged in intentional sabotage, or (2) was sick of being bothered by alarm alerts.

I am going to guess that this may be a mile high lawsuit.

There should have been regularly schedule systems and safety checks, as well as regularly scheduled equipment maintenance.
Something like a disabled alarm should not go unnoticed for a significant period of time.

Uhhhhhhhhh.....okay. This is satire, right? There are some 4,000 human beings put to death in their mothers' wombs every day and THIS is what.....never mind. I can't even......

Why wouldn’t you have a redundant backup? There is never just one egg, or one sperm, or even one fertilized egg. Divide each case in two, and store each part at a different location.

At least the hospital/clinic is not trying to downplay the tragic nature of this incident.

Of course, Planned Parenthood is probably having a party this weekend to celebrate the loss.

Yes. That’s “Fertility Clinic 101” as far as I am concerned.

Does anyone see the irony ?????

Thousands of eggs and embryos ruined and it’s a disaster.....enough to warrant a lawsuit

Yet every day thousands of fully realized babies are sucked out of wombs without any hue or cry

We have, in 45 years, killed almost 60 million babies

I’m thinking those who run fertility clinics and those who strive to maximize the number of abortions in the world are not on the same side of the whole “life begins at...” issue.

From a [current] legal standpoint, it is the difference between something that is wanted and something that is not.

From a legal standpoint...

Tragic is the right word. I’m thinking of couples struggling to have kids, the pain they go through (miscarriages, feeling of letting each other down, the baby room that sits empty, unsolicited advise from friends, etc.). And the cost, the very high cost that is often not covered by insurance.

The women who froze their eggs in the hope of children one day ... won’t.
This is why you should look for a mate in your 20s and have kids then, because you have a lifetime for a career.
Feminists lie about the biological clock because they want women to focus on career and out-compete men and NOT have children.

Mothers kill their children at a rate of 1.3 children per second, for every second of every single day, day in and day out. That’s 112,320 children killed per day.

1.49 Billion children killed, just since 1980 http://numberofabortions.com/ .

More people killed, in just those 37 years, than all of the people killed in all of the world’s wars and health epidemics throughout all of our thousands of years of history combined.

How’s that for the fairer gender? Well, except for the comparatively fewer that are forced by the Chinese government.

Now, these are ONLY the recorded killings. There are many millions more that are not reported as killings...like the ones in this article and the ones that are in states and countries and scenarios that don’t report (Over-the-counter abortions, IVF abortions, infanticides in 3rd world countries, atheistic countries that don’t track, etc, etc).

Think God might be gettin’ ready to put a stop to the evil of man playing God?

Veritas vincit!
