It would not be the first time for either of them.
Put them both on trial and let a jury figure it out.
This is an either/or situation?
Let’s try this:
McCabe said he could release information on his own authority... which he did.
Comey said he didn’t release, or authorize anyone else to release, said information.
But, if McCabe could release it on his own, even if Comey knew about it, he wouldn’t be lying. It wouldn’t be the “whole truth”, and it would be lack of candor, but it wouldn’t be perjury.
BOTH are not telling the truth.
In various forms.
Wasn’t McCabe’s rant on social media or some such? Probably legally irrelevant.
That’s a nothingburger when Comey’s statements were in Congressional hearings.
Regardless, Comey is still a traitor.
I say at some point both are lying. I also think they need to be prosecuted.
How about what actually happened.
They both conspired and colluded with others in the FBI and government to illegally leak classified information to the media and they both colluded to help Mueller in his fraudulent investigation.
They are Both lying and should be in the lock up with their new orange clothes.
“One of them is not telling the truth,.......
Perhaps both are being untruthful.
Unfortunately I dont think anything will happen to either of them.
They belong to The Club
Is it against the law to waterboard a treasonous SOB
Is it against the law to waterboard a treasonous SOB
Of course that IS what really happened. But, I submit that we don't have enough to nail them on it, yet. We weren't in the room when they colluded, and so far indiscreet e-mails like those of Page and Strozk haven't been revealed between Comey and McCabe. So they could maintain that technically, there's no inconsistency between what they've both said, so far.
It's a Clintonian "that depends on what the meaning of is, is" kinda thing. I'm pointing out that the triumphant cries of perjury against Comey aren't technically justified yet, even though you know, and I know, that they are both lying, scheming weasels.
I’d go with BOTH too...
“Lets try this:

Let’s try this
That is not what McCabe said.
He said he released info to the Press with the “Directors Knowledge”.
“Director’s knowledge”
Oh... that’s bad.
But, for these hyper-parsers, it might not be bad enough.
Comey was asked if he had leaked, or authorized anyone to leak, to which he replied “Never” and “No”, respectively. If McCabe was authorized to disseminate to the press (i.e., leak) on his own authority and Comey knew about it, he still wouldn’t have leaked himself, or authorized someone else to do so. It’s this head of the pin bullshit that we’ve been exposed to for years.
Remember, I’m not arguing they aren’t dirty. It’s pretty clear to me that they’ve been in it together.
The situation reminds me of a scene in the James Clavell novel, “Shogun.” One of the big lord’s (Toronaga) sub-lords (daimyos) has been a traitorous creep. When questioned by Toronaga, he rejects the accusations and says, “There’s absolutely no proof.” Toronaga replies, “There’s no proof, but I believe you did it. Your lands are forfeit; please slit your belly before noon.”
I wish something like that could happen here, but at the moment I don’t see how.
“Dershowitz: Either McCabe or Comey Is Not Telling the Truth”
Both of them.
