AUSTIN, Tex. The Austin police responded on Sunday night to an explosion that injured two people in a neighborhood in southwest Austin, just hours after an unusual direct appeal to whoever was responsible for several deadly package explosions this month that have kept the capital of Texas on edge.
A short time after the authorities said they received reports of an explosion, two men in their 20s were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Service said.

That would solve a lot of problems.
we should be so lucky
I really hope you are correct. Bombs are nasty business!
That would explain why this one was nowhere near the other locations.
The other packages were left on porches in the middle of the night. This explosion happens on Sunday evening when people are out in the neighborhood.
The ‘victims’ are 20 year olds.
APD baited them this afternoon.
Sounds like two 20 year old terrorists who blew themselves up.
“That would explain why this one was nowhere near the other locations.”
How would a bomber go put a bomb on a person’s porch on a Sunday afternoon when people are out riding their bikes. walking dogs and cutting grass?
The part of town this occurred in is half million and up homes.
“I really hope you are correct. Bombs are nasty business!”
If so, blowing themselves up will be the least of their problems.
Texas will give them the death penalty and they will have federal charges on top of that.
“The part of town this occurred in is half million and up homes.”
And it’s a very limited access neighborhood.
Only two roads into that neighborhood.
Lots of security cameras.
Fairly easy. Amazon prime now packages are typically delivered by amazon folks wearing normal street clothes.
And the bomb ‘victims’ just happen to be two 20 year old males?
Lots of houses in that neighborhood have security cameras and there is limited access to the neighborhood.
Limited for sure. Pita is more like it.
My office is about a mile away from there.
“Limited for sure. Pita is more like it.”
It will be interesting to see who these victims are.
What??? Pleading with bad guys doesn’t work? An outrage.
Muslims I bet
“What??? Pleading with bad guys doesnt work?”
Maybe it worked this time.
Maybe they are the overgrown brats of well off parents
These bombings comprise an unusual MO. I don’t know what to make of it.
