The Internal Revenue Service in 2011 through 2016 documented more than 1.3 million cases of identity theft perpetrated by illegal aliens whom the IRS had given Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITIN), which are only given to people who are ineligible to work in the United States or receive Social Security Numbers, according to information published by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA).
However, in response to inquiries from CNSNews.com, the IRS could not say if it had referred even one of these cases for criminal prosecution.
TIGTA, which is the inspector general responsible for overseeing the IRS, discovered another approximately 1.2 million cases in 2017 in which an illegal alien working in the United States had filed a tax return reporting wages that had been earned using a Social Security Number that belonged to someone else or was fabricated.
Yet the IRS also could not say whether it referred any of these cases for criminal prosecution.

Much of that money paid in may never be paid out. The upside down Social Security Admin. will gladly look the other way. As for the IRS cutting checks they could care less, it isn’t there money and they are completely corrupt anyway. FUBOB.

So essentially he is openly admitting to being part of a RICO conspiracy with open participation and here admission of the Federal Government accepting false information and then distributing back to the participants funds most likely in essence a refund of most if not all they paid minus a “handling charge” by the IRS.

This whole situation would be laughable if it didn’t make you want to pull your hair out. Legal citizens/workers LET illegal friends use their SS #’s for job purposes and probably a lot more. The person who lets it happen is having the wages the illegal person earned added to his SS earnings thus increasing HIS benefits and the illegal gets
nothing - EXCEPT - when he can file a tax return and get all the taxes back that were withheld but no doubt had already claimed the maximum amount of exemptions and had nothing withheld.
How’s that for a run on sentence and explanation?
I saw this happen when I worked for a CPA in CA who had restaurants as clients and notices came in constantly from the Franchise Tax Board - “this SS# number does not belong to this person”! The employer was told to straighten it out but by no means should any intimidation or threat of termination take place! No SIREE!! Don’t you dare!!
