It sounds like the kind of legislation that should easily breeze through a statehouse, even in these politically divided times: a resolution denouncing white nationalists and neo-Nazis.
It didn't even make it out of committee.
The resolution was written by Democratic state Rep. John Ray Clemmons. It doesn't name any particular group. It calls on law enforcement to go after white nationalists and Neo-Nazi groups with the same "fervor" as other forms of terrorism.

the same dems most likely have voiced support for Black Lies Matter, and have remained totally silent on the dem connection to Louis Farrakhan.
Or maybe the day-to-day decisions of beat cops should not be micromanged by windbags sitting in some State Capitol committee room.
Now for a resolution condemning Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
Had never heard of this guy before so looked him up. He’s white, Columbia-educated, and represents a district in Nashville.
Basically, the sponsor meant “anyone who disagrees with me is a nazi.”
Good that it failed.
Black lives Matter was formed on the basis of lies based on thugs from Ferguson.
How about a resolution condemning the name “Black Lives Matter”?
Recall that dims believe Trump and those of us who voted for him are white nationalists.
The last time white supremacists had any real power in Tennessee was back when the Democrats were the party of Dixiecrats and openly appealed to white racial solidarity to win elections. Back when the Dems were able to foist Jim Crow laws and Segregation on the state. Any remaining white supremacists are just a collection of kooks and cranks. A small group of losers. The real threat from neo-Nazis is BDS on the Left.
White supremacists yahoos number about 10,000 people nationwide by most generous estimates and the last example they can give is Charlottesville (1 single fatality in what was probably an astroturf incident) because Timothy McVeigh was getting too old.
Meanwhile, examples of leftist violence and intolerance is so prevalent that astroturf examples aren't even necessary.
Does Tennessee have a problem with White Supremacists and neo-nazis? No?
Then why make a mountain out of a molehill?
They’d be better served going after the SPLC, BLM, and other bigger racists and agitators.
Oddly, there are more Black klan members by a factor of thousands compared to any white only groups. We are seeing the rise of the Black Klan in multiple forms. Their members reside in the NAACP, BLM, Black Panthers, Nation of Islam, the race pimps in the clergy, and the Southern Poverty Law Center. Make no mistake it is real and very pervasive. We had a president and attorney general that thrived on this; both setting the stage for a race war.

The death in Charlottesville was that of a fat slob Antifa female who had a heart attack.
There are no “white nationalists.” A change has occurred for more of a balance, though, and it’s in style.

Instead of singling people out by race, just affirm a commitment to going after individuals who intentionally harm others or willfully damage property, inclusive of those who start looting and vandalizing riots and label them rallies or marches.
There are different lists with different names but I have a copy of the two lists drawn up by the Jew Lawyers in New York for the purpose of two conspiracy lawsuits.
There is a lot of overlapping of names.

As for Tennessee, they had a White Lives Matter rally in Shelbyville and Murfreesboro last Oct that was sponsored by League of the South, Traditionalist Worker Party, and the National Socialist Movement but law enforcement spent a lot of money and shut them down.
