That's what I'm wondering. Holding a guy's pension hostage could be one hell of a motivator. If it's just Sessions being a nice guy, then I sure as hell hope we get a good explanation.

Even if Sessions fired him, there is no way he will lose his pension. What you work 20 plus years and because a person doesn’t like you, you lose the pension. Outrageous. If people think he should be in jail then charge him and let a jury decide. We don’t arbitrarily take away something a person earned.
If he is fired with cause his pension is gone.

Behind Rosenstein there is a long line of swamp creatures if the POTUS fires Rosenstein. The only viable solution would be filling the AG vacancy with someone who has already been confirmed to another post. By then however, the dems, their media lap dogs, and several members of the GOPe will already be calling for the president’s head.
Like someone else mentioned, this is certainly the biggest mistake of DJT’s presidency, and he is locked into it. I personally think that Sessions is a big part of the “insurance policy” McCabe, Strzok, and Page spoke about.

It better be damn good cause. And he was not give a chance to fix whatever problems they think he has. Nobody get fired in federal government without at least a year of documented discrepancies and recommendations to fix them. No way will he lose his pension. If he is fired tomorrow, he’d be suing the federal government so fast and he would WIN a bundle of money.
I gave that a very small chance of being true. I wish it were true, but I doubt it.
