“”a girl claimed Fuhrman used the N word once””

That was a screen writer and F. Lee Bailey really was way off base when he asked Fuhrman on the stand if he had “called anyone a ****** in the past ten years?” Fuhrman answered “no” and the screen writer’s audio clearly showed that he was NOT speaking to blacks when he used the word....he merely used the word...he wasn’t calling anyone a ******. He got such a raw deal and those idiot prosecutors couldn’t counter that - they didn’t even try!

“”Two knives were used in the murders..””

That wasn’t any part of the OJ trial. I don’t believe it was ever mentioned. I taped every minute of the trial while I was at work, listened to it on the radio at work, watched the tape at night (wore out the VCR machine) and that was never talked about...

Mark Fuhrman’s book, “Murder in Brentwood” is a great read and on page 205, he drew pictures of two knives - a Red Cross jackknife (the box it came in I believe was found in Simpson’s bathroom) and the stiletto believed to be the murder weapon by the prosecutors. He was/is a superb artist. His notes from the murder scene are in the book also - very meticulous notes which were ignored by detectives Lange and Vannatter..Everyone in authority seemed **** bent on messing up the prosecution...including the prosecutors...

Big difference in calling someone the “N” word and using it in referring to that race...Bailey’s question was “did you call anyone the “N” word in the past 10 years and Fuhrman answered truthfully - as far as we know. He used the word but not to anyone’s face...One of his own partners - a black man - said he never treated the blacks any different than he did anyone else.

“”I can guarantee you that I cannot put any of my pairs of gloves on when I am also wearing rubber gloves. IMPOSSIBLE.””

It never made any sense to use those rubber gloves - there couldn’t be any contamination on them in the courtroom after they’d been in evidence that long so what was the sense of that? I never understood the drama...but then I didn’t understand or condone any of the defense moves! Clark and Darden weren’t interested in putting a stop to the charade and they could have stopped it with the rubber gloves...

“”I bet that they would say that his getting off was “justice” for all of the years of slavery and discrimination.””

ALMOST! They said it was for all the trials that ended up convicting blacks for crimes they DIDN’T COMMIT! Forever and ever, AMEN!

“”OJ’s lawyers need to remind him to NOT DISCUSS such things in public””

Why? He could go to the courthouse steps in Los Angeles and confess to the two murders this week and walk away.....

“”The prosecutors tanked the case on purpose.””

When it was all over, it was hard to believe otherwise. We lay persons could watch or listen and scream at the points they were missing and not taking on.

I stayed glued to my radio at work and the day the verdict was read, my boss came to my desk to listen and afterward said, “I always thought he was innocent. I never told you this but I sent him cards while he was in jail.”

I was so disgusted, I walked out to the balcony to have a cigarette and seriously thought about having my boss join me so I could push him off. Furious at the jury and at his stupid statement.

One of the young guys in the office said, “I always believed a person was innocent until proven guilty so I never told you how I felt” and I said, “For goodness sake, that didn’t mean you couldn’t have an opinion.”

Wonder if those two have ever been called for jury duty!!!
LOL

“”I would have had a tough time finding him guilty (even knowing he did it) “”

And how would you have KNOWN he did it? You’re forgetting the blood in the many different places in his Bronco, mixed with Nicole’s and Goldman’s, aren’t you? The shoe prints at the scene in blood? Much, much more evidence pointing to his guilt and nothing was “enhanced”.

“”so they “helped” the prosecutors a little””

Kind of weak on a theory when you don’t do any elaborating/speculating on just what was done to “help” the prosecutors...got to have some action they took, don’t you?

Waiting for the poster to come back and explain what he meant by “helped” the prosecutors. Short on the action he thinks they took!

“”Johnnie Cochrane is burning in hell as I type.””

He didn’t make the trip soon enough. I’ve always claimed that race relations in this country were no longer a burning issue in this country until he got the bright idea to do what he did in that trial. He put us on the road from there and it culminated in obozo getting to the WH and we’re still sliding!

I guess the Rodney King fiasco wasn’t enough - Cochran wanted to go one better against the L. A. P. D. That’s where he made his name and his big bucks - suing them.

Where is everyone? Are we alone? Am I talking to myself?

I grew up loving a mystery and haven’t changed in these many decades...

No it wasn’t brought up during the trial but it was something I had heard about him when he played football. I think it was a piece of the puzzle that was missed at the time of the trial.
